Don’t know if this is just a bathrooms in the underground of Chongqing bug, or something different (like related to guns or whatever), but I got a trap kill “fire” objective on Chongqing, knocked the target out, poured oil on the ground and shot it with my Krugermeier. Didn’t start a fire. Bought a silenced SMG from the local supplier to try that out, same result. Had to shoot the fucker in the head and leave.
They’re meant to ignite the oil puddles. But I’ve had issues with them as well not igniting and then in another campaign I’ll do it in the exact same spot and it will ignite first time, so just a general game bug rather than the area just being bugged I guess.
Marriage killers man. That’s what video games are. You’re in a level and your spouse gets in front of the tv and starts taking off their clothing and you’re like “babe get out of the way you’re gonna make me fail.” <<and then they are mad for quite some time, perhaps rightfully so
I hope the show was fun. I actually moved one of our opera tickets to another night based on when freelancer came out. Got lucky and moved it prior to the 26th.
So… are the showdown target details also exclusion-based?
What I mean is:
If the four details do not contain “wears a hat”, does this mean the target could be wearing a hat or is this a sure “no hat”?
Or if the details are “blonde, glasses, necklace, earrings” - does this mean the target does not have a tattoo? Or is both possible when not mentioned?
I feel like the behaviour traits are more valid indicators. The suspects can have additional appearance traits to their four described ones, but I’m pretty sure they always only have the one agenda and two habits.
Also, I’ve had the game play the “target is close” music cue quite a few times with the syndicate leaders. Does it need to be triggered by observing a tell first, or does it play regardless? I’m on a trip right now, so I won’t be able to experiment with this before Tuesday.

Really enjoying Freelancer so far. Aside from my hardcore mode attempt being a bit annoying (please tweak it slightly IOI. I’d prefer blood alarming guards to having everyone being enforcers…), it’s a lot of fun. I hope more stuff gets added to the future - not just more unlocks, but perhaps more potential objectives too such as not being able to disable security cameras.
What I like the most is that it leads to some great potential kill scenarios. Here’s a couple of mine that I shared on social media recently:

After following this target in the bar, I realised she goes into the bathroom and checks her makeup in the mirror. My plan was to distract the bathroom attendants into each bathroom and then knock them out there. No place to hide, but with the toilet door closed it wasn’t an issue. When she came back, she instead beelined to the toilet instead, so shot her there and closed the door. On my way out, some guy came and entered the bathroom. I maintained SA by luck, but I did it!
Put in a lot of hours so far and can see myself putting in a lot more - especially if they add even more targets, unlockables, levels (map variants for example), and so on. I’d especially like a reskin of the Yacht level to make it a real yacht and an actual location to hunt on.
This was a showdown, which obviously only has one target. The objectives require an explosive kill and a melee weapon kill. Since 47 doesn’t have the ability to resuscitate people yet, these objectives are impossible.
Of course, I could’ve picked a different map for the showdown, which has different objectives. But with so many things to look out for, I missed that opportunity and ended up with this.
It was my mistake to pick this map, but it still sucks to end up with something like this
I think the strange note is bugged, it shouldn’t “fly around” like that. I had a safe spawn in that place once and the strange note was actually inside the safe, so it’s probably not disabled as it should when there’s no safe here :x
