Just so everyone knows, @TheContractor is definitely alive, at least as of June 15.
He’s got a Silent Assassin time on the Sloth Escalation Level 3, so… it’s not like he got hit by a bus on May 28 and that’s it. He’s got and played the Sloth content at some point since then.
I’m sure he’s just taking a break from gaming and Hitman, occasionally popping back in for the new content. Maybe we’ll see him again here someday. (Maybe I’ll see his time on the Lust content too )
Glad to hear he’s still alive and kicking. Hopefully all is well with him.
In other news, I’ll be visiting my family in Boston in the middle of next month for a week. We kept in touch but I haven’t seen them in ten years. Feeling pretty excited.
Well, shit. The exam was a bit underwhelming. Or rather, very underwhelming. It really pisses me off that out of like 500 big current affairs/ general knowledge topics i studied and learnt almost none came, and the questions that did come were very very specific, for example this one were i knew that thing took place in June 2020, but the question is asking the exact date for it: June 11 or 15(and two other options which included different months). Like wtf lmao. I checked the June 15 option and thankfully it was the right answer.
There was also something about national water day of all things, there are like a thousand ‘day’ events and there’s even a national toilet day i kid you not. Which which can you force in your brain?!
Except the gk part, I did english, logical and legal almost entirely, except the last logical paragraph which was like the size of 5 questions and also wasted my last 10 minutes. And perhaps the biggest tragedy, I could only do 2 questions out of 10 in maths. Then again there were like 5 minutes left and I was at my wits end.
Ultimately I did attempt 127 out of 150 questions and most of the other aspirants agree that gk was crap so that’s what I’m hoping on, that gk was tough for everyone and that I hope most of the others I did turn out to be correct
But well there’s still another exam, of a different college, somewhat important because it is in Delhi which is closer to my home and which is so tough that getting like half the questions like, I.e 75 out of 150 can get you in. There are also the private college exams i gave this exam of which the result will be announced soon.
I made reservations at a place I like very much. They recently went to a prepay policy where you have to leave a decent size non-refundable deposit when you book the table. They also went to a everyone must show proof of vaccine to enter policy. I’m fine with both of these, but the vaccine policy isn’t anywhere on their site or their booking page. You don’t find out until after you pay. Then the confirmation email explains the policy. I’m not sure why they do that to their host employees bc if I showed up and was told “no you can’t come in,” I’d be furious. I try hard not to yell at people about policy I know they don’t control, but I know plenty of people who prefer to yell at the person directly in front of them at the time of the issue.
If you haven’t checked it out, click on the recent Google Doodle.
To coincide with the Tokyo Olympics, Google has made a Japanese-themed videogame about a few small sports like climbing, table tennis, swimming, among other fun stuff.
The BEST part is that it’s a very sizable game. This isn’t a “5-minutes and done” kind of Doodle. It’s surprisingly big. There’s the sports minigames, a team leaderboard, quests to undertake, NPCs to talk to, trophies to win, a little island world to explore… I’m seriously impressed by this.
Not to mention, there’s some gorgeous and adorable animated cutscenes, as well as a fun soundtrack.
I follow Qumu on Youtube – he regularly makes covers of iconic video game tracks – and good for him, Google got him to make the soundtrack for this game!
and holy shit, the little animal portraits are so cute
