After this heat, the semi-finals will commence. The plan is for there to be 4 semi-finals, each one having a mix of succesful missions from each heat category. The number of heat winners are:

Codename 47: 8 winners
Silent Assassin: 12 winners
Contracts: 8 winners
Blood Money: 8 winners
Absolution: 12 winners
WoA (Main Missions) - 12 winners
WoA (Best of the Rest) - 12 winners

Divided by 4, that means each semi-final will have:

2 missions from Codename 47
3 missions from Silent Assassin
2 missions from Contracts
2 missions from Blood Money
3 missions from Absolution
3 missions from WoA (Main Missions)
3 missions from WoA (Best of the Rest)

For a total of 18 missions per semi-final. All missions that succeed will go into a big grand final. I wanted to ask, how many missions per semi-final should succeed? I’m think 8, which would mean 32 in the final, I think that’s enough and already a big enough roster. 9 would be half, meaning 36, or we go for 10 for a nice round 40?

How many missions per semi-final should qualify for the final?
  • 8 out of 18
  • 9 out of 18

I mean I have targeted pretty much every other Colorado level I possibly could so why stop now? Kinda feel bad though, You Better isn’t awful in the grand scheme of things…

They may both be in the same state, but one is in the gorgeous winter of the Rocky Mountains, and the other is in a boring brown field.

Showing the house interior of You Better Watch Out is cheating. The exterior of the level is an ugly wash of dreary, miserable and cold slate grey. Now as a Scot you might be accustomed to everything looking like that but that doesn’t mean I have to be.

Still better than the fifteen version of Colorado’s skybox though. They had like four lighting variations, they used the best one for a sniper mission. God I am glad I was an overwhelming reason why The Vector was eliminated.

Hey, everywhere only looks like that 10 months of the year, thank you very much.

What about the jacuzzi area? That jacuzzi and view is gorgeous, just needs better safety glass.

When you say the jacuzzi do you mean the one Bingham soaks in or the Playboy Mansion grotto? Because I will admit that the grotto is impressive as a level flourish.

Otherwise yeah it is nice enough. I do wonder what it would be like if the level was indeed set in spring like they intended.

I honestly forgot about the second jacuzzi. I was meaning the one with the breakable glass bottom, I love that kind of aesthetic.

Well I am a classy guy so I appreciate a good grotto over a glass bottom Jacuzzi.

Aside from being a death trap the Jacuzzi also hovers right over the ferry’s dock if I recall. If you look through the floor then all you see is the grey dock area below.

I think it’s more about the spectacle of the height rather than the actual view. The view of the bottom will be blurred by the water anyway, the actual view to admire is the mountainside.

Wait that post is a contradiction. How can it be about the height when the bottom is obscured by the water. How can that take preference over the view when the mountain view is the actual view to admire? Why would you want to look out the bottom if you can’t see and the horizontal view is still better?

Maybe it is just that De Havilland’s proud to own the most accident-prone bathtub in the United States?

I knew I shouldn’t of gotten into an art argument with the forum’s resident art guy. Even without seeing through the glass, you can still enjoy the thrill of sitting over a ledge? Or when you arrive by boat in that dock, and see the glass above, knowing you’ll be sitting in it soon, like waiting in line for a rollercoaster.

Considering what a pervert he is, I could actually see that as being one of his very weird fetishes.

I am also the forum’s resident afraid-of-heights guy and intrusive thoughts guy so I am going to say no.

The thrill of having my legs nice and toasty while my nipples harden like diamond and my body begins fomenting the biological conditions for pneumonia?

I don’t like rollercoasters. I like pointless debates about the merits of positioning you glass-bottom hot tub over a major thoroughfare to your Playboy-themed Bond Villain Lair.
