Death of a Showman is not only the worst level in the game, but one of the worst in the entire franchise. I would easily place it with the likes of C47 Columbia, Hidden Valley, most of Absolution, and Bangkok.

Hideout is easily the worst safehouse but it gets a reprieve until Showman goes.

That’s an exageration. For a tutorial oriented level, it does it’s job, way better than other tutorial levels in the Legacy games, such as the laughably bad Tutorial level in Contracts.

Sorry but Hidden Valley is in it’s own category of shite levels. DoaS might be considered a bad level in the franchise, Hidden Valley is one of the worst in gaming.

The quote was “one of the worst”, so don’t take it out of context. And in that regard I stand by my that fully since it is pretty dreadful. Not the worst, but in the same level of crap as a lot of the trash.

I remember that being my first experience with Blood Money, and I hated it. I expected the game to be a stinker due to it being so dismal. Thankfully, things picked up soon after. It fails as a level, it fails as a tutorial, and it’s a Hitman level where it’s not even made to be beaten Silent Assassin! Such a joke.

As for Hidden Valley, it probably drags on a bit too long, but it’s biggest crime is that it’s broken. If it worked as it should do, then it’d probably be the solid.

There’s no exaggeration involved at all, and I would say that Contracts tutorial - whilst not great - is miles better than Showman. I don’t mind playing that level, whereas this is always a badly designed, dull chore.

I can already predict a very exciting end to this heat. Though I do believe 4-5 missions on this list can be (almost) unanimously considered weaker and worth eliminating (Hideout, Death of a Showman, Amendment XXV and Requiem and maybe even Death on the Mississippi), the last mission to be eliminated may become a very divisive topic.
