Really enjoyed the mission and I explored quite a few different opportunities. I want to replay it a bit in arcade to see what other more creative or silly kills I can do.
Few restarts required but I ended up blowing up all the demonstration clones with an oil canister which was quite entertaining to me. I wish it was available on contracts/as a proper special assignment mission (especially as it doesn’t follow the ET formula it’s kind of strange it wasn’t).
However, a little underwhelmed by the DLC items though I have to say.
she has multiple lines depending on if youve killed valiant before seeing any clones, found a clone before finding valiant or have killed valiant after seeing clones. It’s likely one of those lines overlapped. And yes the Muscles from Brussels has a Belgian accent. It’s not weird
Three problems I seen that people should be aware of before trying the live elusive target until IOI release a hotfix are:
Interacting with the sauna door can freeze the game;
Standing too close to the shooters on the shooting range can kill you;
Trying to dismiss a guard on the shooting range when you have a wrench in your inventory will cause an interaction with a gas tank next to him, getting you compromised and killed if he starts shooting.
Oh, please can we get rid of the mandatory auto-fail complications for celebrity ET arcades!
I’m trying some really cool strategies to test out speedruns of this unique mission, and keep on getting locked out every time I get to level 2. A part of the process for defining the art in a run is improving and improvising it at every stage but that’s impossible if I’m getting spotted 20% of the time due to RNG and then getting locked out because of auto fail spotted complications!
I did at least manage to get my best time of 2:03 on the level 1 arcade!
Didn’t get to play the mission much so far, but I like what am seeing.
I expected a plain ET, maybe with some layout updates like the previous 2 did, so I was pleasantly surprised. Not sure how good would it play on repeat playthroughs though, given how some clones are practically stationary with not a lot of ways to tackle them.
This is also a mission that would benefit a lot from being a regular mission, or at least having unlockable start points (such as one already in the facility post-tour, or a suit start for SASO fans like me).
Neat, but not really necessary trick is that there’s seemingly only one weapon stash in the facility, next to an elevator shaft that works as a body dump, and the clones have guard AI, and starting outfit can legally drop guns. It should be possible to kill any/all 5 non-stationary clones by dropping a gun in front of them and fiber wiring them at the security checkpoint.
Still, really happy with what we got and makes me more optimistic about Year 5.
I don’t really mind the second stage that much, but I sure think there is an opportunity to have different complications that are more personalised for each target (as long as it isn’t annoyingly limiting as the pen complication from Undying ETA). A dream would be complications that change the mission itself like moving items around or adding more enforcers.
Speaking of, if those celebrity packs become a repeating thing, having each one come with a bonus ETA that’s just all missions of the pack in a row could be neat.
By the way, as I learned yesterday, if you’re on the second level of the Arcade, don’t throw a screwdriver at the head of the guy in the moving wall doing the splits! Even though he’s blindfolded, it counts as him seeing you and you’ll fail the mission.
I always killed that guy by throwing a brick in his face and never got spotted (although I did it from the corner of the room after distracting the scientist), so it’s probably someone else who saw you?
The first dialogue with Pritchard (very weak character, don’t much care for the voice acting either) annoys me greatly:
Only use excessive force if necessary
Excessive and necessary are mutually exclusive.
My guess is we are definitely outnumbered
Guess and definitely are mutually exclusive.
What I do like: JCVD <3
I love how his bio links him to the French Foreign Legion, like the Five Fathers, and that he’s been in Romania.
The phonecall he has with the other buyer kind of makes me wish that this ET is more than a stand-alone thing, but is integral in the lore.
Even though Max Valiant’s plan and execution was pretty silly. He has the phonecall in the presence of someone he assumes belongs to Pritchard’s crowd, for one thing. He warns of the dangers of dealing with the ICA but does very little to protect his back against that same person (47, who on one scenario beat one of his clones to death.
Also, not to be nitpicky (but knowing that I am): if they are indeed perfect clones, why would they agree to take orders from anyone? And to wear those ridiculous outfits?
Still, very enjoyable. Love it. But Pritchard sucks. Very bad writing for his lines.
After playing the ET on my main account, I came up with a much better method on my 2nd account. There was no issues with this version as my 1st attempt did have some bugs/glitches. This was flawless
ICA Suit Only (No Disguise Change)
Silent Assassin
5 Star Rating
No KO’s/
No HUD
No Cameras Or Evidence Destroyed
Sieker1 Required
2X Banana Peels Used
Collect All 3 Dongles
2X Emetic Rat Poison Used
Time: 27 Minutes
I’ll try to attempt an ICA Suit Only/No Loadout version with No KO’s as I feel more opportunities are possible with this mission with some more investigating!
Agent 47 Out
