Huh? How do you trigger that?
Also, they changed the whole facility but somehow left in those two analysts in chef uniforms talking by the scanning room as if nothing happened

That was a lot of fun. Definitely the best Elusive Target so far, in my opinion.
My initial thoughts are that this was a great ET. But now I’m not so sure.
There’s really only one opportunity to kill Valliant before he just locks himself away in his office alone. And most clones have a sole scripted kill, unless you really try to force it to do something different. Considering the size of the Facility, they could have done a little more with it.
Also the fact that it breaks the cardinal rule of Elusive Targets - no red highlights. The clones, sure given how many there are. But the main target? Nah.
The lock sauna door animation froze, and forced me to quit. Guess I’ll have to try again some other day…
The way it happened for me is that I was going around killing clones during the tour, so i think that activates a script that makes Valiant kill Pritchard
Yeah I just managed to accidentally do it with the golf ball kill, which happened when we were at the dojo. The clone there went into search mode, Valliant skipped the rest of the section and went to the office where he ordered Pritchard killed.
Oh is there another way to do the golf ball kill? I thought it was just an opportunity for Max Valiant?
for some reason all their wording for the arcades is like that
Yeah, after Valliant´s demonstration, the guard urges the two clones to do it again, but on each other, which they keep doing until you cancel their loop. You can also do a neat double kill by swapping the ball and starting a gas leak on the tank (and dismissing the guard so he doesn´t get killed as well).
Ooh see I killed myself first time i tried that because i ended up loosening the gas while they were shooting
Not attempted this yet due multiple reports of bugs.
So far I’ve noted;
Anything else game breaking to be aware of?
Also are we expecting fixes over the next few days ? I’ll hold off if so.
Not necessarily game-breaking, but I feel there might be a missing visibility wall between the sauna/training area and some of the areas on the floor above. I just did a “proper” run of the ET, killed one clone in the sauna, and had one of the unconscious researchers hidden in the shower room (the closet was already full with the other researcher and the guard stationed there). His body got noticed by (probably) the clone from the shooting range who was on the upper floor (where he goes when his budy gets killed in the golf ball incident). He then ran there to investigate the sauna, so I just offed him in there.
I did complete the mission yesterday.
The mission is not perfect, and several flaws can be noticed:
But overall, I really appreciate this mission. The high number of clones allows different kill opportunities (I mean, the clones are not killed the same way - sauna, tamper the exercise machine, challenge one clone, golf ball, change temperature…).
It was really intense to keep his coolness and SA with such number of targets. Maybe that’s the reason why the targets were highlighted (and going against traditional ET rules).
Looking at the plot, it was fun and I find that JCVD’s acting fits pretty well with the story. The mission’s scenario looks like a B movie, and JCVD’s interpretation matches with my souvenirs I have from his movies. Especially, the tour within the facility and the explanations given by the bad guy is a cliché of action movies. Moreover, the fact that he says “carotte” or “légumes” was also funny (I know, I’m a very good audience for such things).
I’ve to say: IOI did a really good job on that point. I really prefer this mission to the Disruptor or the Drop.
i encountered a bug where if you try to block the sauna door before the clones start to feel uncomfortable (or something like that), it basically softlocks you
Last night I played, and I can confidently say that The Splitter is the best content in quite some time. I might even go so far as to say it’s one of the best missions in all of Hitman: World of Assassination. I really hope it becomes permanent content soon. I’ve been waiting a long time for a mission like this.
yeah, this is one of the most intricate ETs I have ever played, IOI really cooked us a 5 star meal
Of all the clones, the only one I feel bad about killing is Number 7, the dancing clone. Poor thing, his only fault is having the DNA of a criminal, but he isn’t one himself. However, work is work
Yeah, the fact that you can roam around pretty much the entire facility (aside from the cloning lab), even entering without a frisk (or rather without Pritchard present), was pretty surprising. I won´t complain though. It makes it easier to experiment with stuff.
There are a few other “oddities”:
As a personal “complaint”, I feel the ET is a missed opportunity to finally introduce a proper model for the Fusil X2000 Stealth into the game. I will need to increase my lobbying effort for it (alongside lobbying for @LandirtHome ´s idea of a silenced Striker, because that bit with the five clones lined up for revelation is just begging for it). And it´s a letdown (although sadly not a surprising one) that the Splitter SMG seems to have no unique properties whatsoever.
Overall though, I really like this ET, especially because of how it works with the series´ lore. Can´t wait to experiment with it a bit more.
Also, they referenced the Kickboxer dance, to my absolute delight, so props for that.
The same thing I thought too. She could take dna of dead bodies and use it to create another Valliant. She should be a target with all her research
How do i do that sounds cool as heck
My personal takeaway is perhaps Valiant and the clones, being so competent, were what 47 needed to take out to make sure the ICA can go in and arrest everyone else
