Hitman Mission Championship - Heat CON

Rules:

  1. Players get 1 point to add to the board, and 2 points to subtract
  2. Points may be split up how you wish.
  3. No decimalised points allow, so basically no half or quarter points permitted
  4. Players may play the game once per day
  5. Players are not allowed to “save” missed day postings and post multiple times on a single day. If you miss playing on August 1st, you can not play twice on August 2nd.
  6. No duplicate accounts are allowed to play
  7. No account younger than a week is allowed to play
  8. When a mission reaches 0 points, it is immediately removed from the game
  9. The game will end when 5 missions are eliminated, and the 8 missions remaining will move on to the quarter-finals.

This is the first sign that this will be a more interesting heat than the last one.I am sorry,but I won’t let you eliminate one of the best missions from the classic hitman games for SASO runs.

Wang Fou was an extremely poor remake. It made everything about the original worse. A blasphemy towards H:C47, and thus even worse than the training. Those two Blue Lotus just sitting at the table were just too much.

Rendez-vous in Rotterdam was awesome. Suit only, mission story with stylish reporter, Dutch speaking, fleshed out target, basement level full of misery, car crush kills and tattoo kills were very avant-garde, bulky guard NPCs were awesome.

For the sake of including all levels, and because I’m sure someone would complain if I left it out.

It’s interesting. Personally I think Codename 47 and especially Silent Assassin the quality of the maps really went up and down. I think from Contracts onwards, the quality of each game is far more consistent.

I honestly don’t think they should of even bothered remaking the first 2 Hong Kong levels from Codename 47. They were designed to be relatively simplistic early missions with each only having 2 or 3 solutions. It feels like the remakes try to turn them into full on levels, but it seems like in both cases it just adds a lot of unneccesary fluff to simple missions.

Think Contracts best remake levels are the ones that stray the furthest from their originals, like Deadly Cargo combining both C47 Rotterdam missions together and getting to escape the asylum after killing Ort-Meyer.

Could not agree with this more. I don’t get how Deadly Cargo doesn’t get more love from the community. Sniping alone offers at least three different approaches. Add on top of that the epic SWAT method and boarding the ship as a thug and you get plenty of interesting opportunities. Hell, if you’re fast enough you can get Boris in the cargo hold before the car even arrives.

Deadly Cargo is rather a full reimagination, I don’t really see what it combines from C47 levels.

Well, it basically takes the car and the strip club from the first Rotterdam mission, and combines it with the cargo ship of the second Rotterdam mission. Saying that though, a full reimagining isn’t too inaccurate.

Better than the Codename 47 Asylum levels, and I do like how moody it is.
