I’d say classic games are ok, but don’t necessitate the need for a screenshot proof if they can identify the level and more or less whereabouts.
Makes it more interesting at least than all WoA

Oh my god. It’s not the training level, which is when I felt it was probably Carpathian Mountains in the final carriage.
I was wrong. Replayed that dumb level for nothing
Haha my mind went to the same place. Thank you for the heads up that I don’t need to finish playing Carpathian Mountains!
This one I know: It’s in Cassidy House on the first floor. I actually planed on using a similar picture as well in this thread
Sorry for not answering earlier!
Yeah, I might just include that to the ruleset… So far we’ve all been following a gentlemen’s agreement to post pictures only from WoA; it’s the game many of us are still playing and for some it’s the only Hitman game they’ve played at all. Previous games are a bit more obscure and even those who played them are unlikely to be playing it as recently and extensively as WoA. I guess I just couldn’t bring myself to straight up limiting the game to one title – Absolution and Blood Money in particular have some potential to be utilised in this kind of game I think, but it would probably be for the best.
It still tells a lot! First of all, my photographic memory just kicked in when I saw that dim, greenish lighting along with the overall color of the environment and personally I realized that’s Ambrose ruins pretty much immediately. Lighting can be a great giveaway sign in this game – it’s unlikely you’ll mistake dimly lit Chongqing for bright Miami. Then we have the wall and a roughed up table with an old canister – not many places are this derelict yet sturdy (brick walls), you can eliminate a lot of locations from initial look by plain logic. The only other places that could look this way, I thought, were Sapienza catacombs or Santa Fortuna caves, so I checked them as well and it was clear it’s not it
Then again, I think this game can be pretty subjective. We are all perceptive in our own unique ways and we can have very unique experiences exploring the game. So it’s totally normal when one person can identify some obscure location immediately (maybe they were there very recently in their gameplay) but be stumped by an “obvious” one!
Took a picture of a different occurence of that monitor, closed Hitman and was about to post it then I noticed the other items on the table as well as the keyboard didn’t match
… and then it wasn’t in the backup location either. Oh well, maybe I will get the next one
Happy Squirrel is making me nervous as I race to find this computer.
I can see the "replying… " at the bottom
Yep, as someone who owns copies of all the games, at the moment I think I’ve only got H2:SA and WoA actually installed. Also, the breadth of locations across WoA does seem to be allowing for plenty of variety so far!
Great tip! But, on the flipside, I have found it can throw you off the scent horribly too. That’s what happened when I tried finding this one, as I was never picturing such a dim (in-game) location:
Definitely what threw me off with that one was getting it into my head that it could be from one of the older games. If I had known in advance it was WoA, I may have given myself a better chance.
Haha, nope just me yapping again!
Me: “Carpathian Mountains is too obvious, must be somewhere else”…
I checked pretty much all Ether connections, aside from the dude in Sarajevo Six. I even looked into Hawke’s Bay, although the medicine there should have made that obviously wrong!
It’s absolutely that! Bottles don’t look right because XR Games are incompetent and made Hitman 3 look, play, and run like garbage.
Good job!
Believe this one is Carpathian Mountains, right at the end of the train
Edit: @Hotel_Pollisya already used that location so here’s a different screenshot
The map should be fairly obvious, but perhaps not the exact location…
I know this one. Been in this room throwing coins too many times
Will have to check later in the game if it’s the one I’m thinking of.
@djsojus I updated the screenshot as it had already been used
