technically speaking you can release a DX12 game on Windows 7. Not that’s happening here, mind you
Hello friends, is there anyone here who transferred their H2 locations to EGS, who has now got it on Steam?
Someone’s just told me that if you used the process for EGS it does not work even with a paid version of Steam H3
IDK if this is what you meant, but I did the location import from H2 Steam to H3 Epic a year ago. Then I bought H3 Steam Standard yesterday, and it automatically gave me all the locations for H1 and H2.
Thanks yeah, looks like the person who told me was mistaken then
This isn’t just a steam issue unfortunately. The price was inflated high like that on Playstation since the game launched last year.
GOTY Pack for original Hitman 2016 has always been 25$ CAD
Yet for some reason it’s 40$ CAD in Hitman 3. At least I’m glad I bought it for that original price when I did…
But steamH2 is a good example that IOI made
So, having done carryover for H2 Steam → H3 Epic still allows you to do an extra carryover for H2 Steam → H3 Steam, and Steam will automatically register Access Passes even if you imported them to Epic.
But it made me wonder; does it work the other way around, too?
What I want to know, more specifically, is if it is possible to do H2 Steam → H3 Epic transfer after H2 Steam → H3 Steam transfer and if location import for Epic is still possible after Access Passes are registered on Steam.
Did anyone test this?
I don’t think anyone that bought the game on Steam will buy it again on Epic. But I’m curious as well
Just so y’all know, there’s supposedly going to be a Steam sale starting on the 27th (specifically for Lunar New Year). There’s no guarantee the sale is definitely gonna happen on this date (or at all), nor is there a guarantee Hitman 3 will be included in it, but it’s just something to keep in mind for those of you waiting for a price drop.
Discounts for seasonal sale events cannot be run within 30 days of releasing your title or 30 days from when your launch discount ends.

also it would be a great way of pissing the people who bought it by putting it on discount a week after release, incurring in a truckload of refund requests. Even if they could do it it would be not a great idea at this point. Should have gotten a release discount instead.
Oh. I didn’t know that. Almost as if it should have gone on sale immediately.
EGS once offered H3 half price and $10 coupon at the same time, so I bought H3 Standard Edition with $6
Does anyone know if I do the progress transfer of H2 Steam to H3 Steam before I actually purchase it on steam, will that bung up my H2? Will that give me access to H1/H2 stuff in the Demo/Starter pack? I am very confused/concerned by this. Please help.
Progress and location/entitlements transfer are two separate processes. In Steam the location transfer is automatic, and nothing you do will enable locations in the Steam “Demo” at this stage
Ah, ok. Good to know. Thanks very much
We’re looking into this.
Hopefully.
We’ve already pushed changes to the Steam page (in English so far) to make it much more digestible.
We always need to gather information first and we want players to know that we’re doing that. No regrets in communicating what we can. We later started to implement changes and release a hotfix and update our support pages.
Trading Cards are “in review” with Steam. We hope they’re live asap.
Yes, we are.
This is missing and will be implemented in a future patch.
Your location importing from Steam to Epic has not impact whatsoever on the locations being available on Steam. We’ve now added that information to the Steam page.
Can you explain the fact that Steam game is more expensive now than at Epic at launch?
Is that intentional or some kind of mistake?
Is it though? I remember h3 egs being 60€, and so is steam.
