IO are like a weird King Midas - everything they touch turns into Escalations. Even buying the game…
let’s look at all the ways to play hitman 1 on steam.
hitman GOTY edition = 67.35 CAD
hitman GOTY legacy pack for H2 = 24.99 CAD (can be played with H2’s free starter pack)
hitman GOTY access pass for H3 = 39.99 CAD (can’t be played with H3’s demo- you will need to own at least the standard edition)
wtf IOI???
there’s no reason to get HITMAN GOTY when you can get HITMAN GOTY legacy pack for hitman 2’s starter pack, for WAY cheaper.
also, why is hitman GOTY access pass for hitman 3 more expensive than hitman GOTY legacy pack for hitman 2? wtf
That twit was uploaded about an hour before the Steam release.
Just so that you know.
this has probably been previously discovered but apparently there is one blind spot in the Dartmoor interactive benchmark and you can get outside the room
the house interior is unfinished for this map version so you can’t go anywhere inside the house but it’s fun to mess around for a while.
If you have not played the map before in a traditional way I do not recommend exploring it this way because it eliminates the feeling of exploration.
NPC’s can’t follow you probably because they can’t calculate the path properly.
Anyway this is how you can get outside (0:30)
Seeing the date on the video I guess it was never fixed.
I have an idea. Maybe one of the reasons why IOI doesn’t launch free starter pack on steam is that they don’t want players to get pre purchase rewards through it (after all, it’s difficult to set). After 30 days, when pre purchase rewards are no longer provided to players, maybe free starter pack will appear (only on behalf of individual views)
No, the pre purchase bonus is specifically in a bundle with standard and deluxe edition right now. If there was a free starter pack then it would not be given because it’s not a bundle and they’d choose not to include it
Strangely, other versions of H3 have web links on steam, but the free starter pack does not… What is IOI thinking?
Hitman 1 GOTY in Hitman 2 has been cheaper than Hitman 1 GOTY in Hitman 3 since Hitman 3’s launch
The Year 2 Patch Notes from 20th January say that the Steam version of HITMAN 3 will be “releasing with support for Steam Achievements and Trading Cards”.
Achievements are working fine (and my previous H2 Achievements auto-unlocked as expected after my progress transfer: a really good player experience with this ), but so far I haven’t seen any Trading Card drops after 9 hours of play and I can’t find any when searching on the Steam Community Market.
Submitted a Zendesk ticket to IOI Player Support to ask if the team at IOI need to do something to implement H3 Steam Trading Cards, because they’re missing at the moment. Will let everyone know the reply when it arrives.
Not only cards but, I wonder if they do some Backgrounds and emoticons… I have some Steam points to spend lol
Trading cards are not mentioned on the Steam page
They will probably add them in a future patch.
Agreed, I want a flashy new background and emoticons!
So… does H1/H2 levels transfer to H3 if you own them on Steam? Even if you transferred them to Epic? (I’m assuming no, but…)
I believe they do.
Awesome. I’ll consider making the move to Steam whenever H3 is on sale then.
They do. It’s not working for Free Starter Pack users , probably because IOI wasn’t aware that demos get different IDs.
Another missing thing on Steam (or at least my copy) is the PC version white suit/black shirt, similar to the white suit/blue shirt for Playstation, white suit/green shirt for Xbox and white suit/orange shirt for Stadia.
Does anyone know if this is an intended omission or a mistake?
I think I’ve seen people say they’re missing the PC exclusive suit too, so it’s probably a PC issue right now
There is a typo in the system requirements on Steam :
The game needs Windows 10 minimum. Not only because of DirectX 12 but also because the game uses instructions available only on Windows 10/11 @Clemens_IOI @Travis_IOI
It’s now 50-50
I think its lowest was 31%?
Apparently there’s a 20% discount on Steam version over at Humble Bundle for “Humble Choice” subscribers there (whatever that is)
