HITMAN 3 - Modding Thread

Hello,
I’m kinda new to Hitman modding. I would like to replace one of the suits with Agent Price from the Beriln mission.
Someone suggested to me that It can be possible with model swapping.
But I have no idea where to start or how to do it.
I would be thankfull if someone could point me in the right direction.

By the way, could you make the virus objective in Sapienza optional?

The most info you’re gonna get on the subject is by reading my posts. They’re just documents of my findings and how I did things. There is no complete step by step tutorial because I have not made one, and don’t plan on doing because I haven’t completely figured it out. (And not sure I ever will)

Switching out 47’s outfit parts with those from other levels is do-able by extracting their .PRIMs, .MATIs, .TEXDs, and .TEXTs and patching them to chunk0 and switching the hex in his outfit to the new ones.

I am unsure how to go about doing this with .TEMPs (Which may or may not directly determine the hair color, skin color textures, eye color textures, the specific clothing textures).

Switching out .TEMP files within the same chunk is easy as pie, but on my first testing of switching out one of 47’s outfits (00FF8C6314EA882E.TEMP, Signature Suit, chunk0) with an outfit from another level (Agent Price, 000DF27F4AF72978.TEMP, chunk4) to chunk0.rpkg, it crashes the game, even if you load up Berlin.

In theory, all you gotta do is patch the .TEMP and .TBLU to chunk0.rpkg for it to work in all levels, since all the other files in the .meta are already in the base chunk0.rpkg and chunk1.rpkg.
But it crashes the game. Not sure where else I should be looking to identify what else might need to be patched to chunk0.rpkg. Or perhaps that’s not the way to accomplish it? I dunno. :man_shrugging:

Hello! I dont know anything about modding but im a huge hitman fan have been buying every game day one since contracts and im really really sad that this is the first hitman game without the double silverballers. If someone is ever capable of adding those to the game, this would be soooooo hype.

Soo if I’m reading this correctly there is no way to make this happen for the time being.
Damn.
Well I guess I’ll just have to wait if a way is found that doesn’t end up with a crash.
Thanks for taking your time to check this out for me.
I appreciate it.

Hello everyone. I have a little question. Where are the NPC images from the contract mode stored?
I mean it:

I will when my internet is no longer capped at 4 KB/s.

They’re stored on IO’s servers.

Oh… Okay, thank you

Hey I don’t know who I am replying to hopefully notex this is confusing.

Last year or the year before you posted a spreadsheet listing the names of all npcs on the maps of hitman 1 and 2. Can you link one for hitman 3? It would make my life so much easier for making contracts  please just a link I don’t want to download anything

I haven’t gotten around to making a list for Hitman 3 yet but I will let you know once I do.

Hey @Notex, do you know how it would be possible to delete some specific Diana voice lines from the game entirely? I’m doing a modded mission and want some specific lines (including all lines for a specific character) gone without silencing her entirely.

Would involve replacing those lines with a blank audio file generated in Wwise.

NOw I know this might be a strange request, but I just listend to the soundtracks of the Deluxe Edition. Happily, all are there! Except, the licensed music. Noeneons “Draufgänger” Draufgänger - YouTube played in the Miami Lounge isnt in the files, and so isnt the music thats played on Haven, from the band. And, of course, “The Class - We are stars” HITMAN - The Class - Are We Stars - Official Music Video - YouTube

So, is there a way to extract it from the game? I can download the others from youtube, but maybe they are in the game in a better quality. Especially the Haven song seems to be noowhere to be found but I like it, its chilling.

The Haven songs are all reused from other maps (The Final Test and Three-Headed Serpent in particular). And yes, they can easily be extracted. Most of the diegetic tracks are located in chunk1 WWEM.

Could someone please do that for me if its that easy? I have no idea how to mod the game so far.

Thanks bro, if it weren’t for your spreadsheet I probably would’ve gone off Hitman I used it so much in the last 6 months

Excuse my ignorance on the Hitman modding scene, but will the tools ever get to the point that modders can make their own levels of their own design (a la Skyrim/Unreal/etc.)?

I dream of the day when modders recreate all of the classic maps. One can dream!

That’d be amazing, of course something we want but that’s very complex and without the engine itself, I don’t think that’s possible
