Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

This could either mean seasonal levels/map variants or elusive targets. It seems natural atleast in the sense that she is a repeating familiar voice that something is in the works that we have yet to see.

Even though this is the obvious answer none the less it’s exciting for what’s to come.

Definitely not complete as she voices the ICA handler Jiao as well.
Question is whether she’s voicing her N-th different character or if the DLC relates to Jiao somehow.

Carpathian Mountains Snow Festival.

The same as the normal mission but with a few decorations and the target is under a giant icicle.

Reason #507 why I hate this forum,

Yous come up with cool ideas like this and them I’m unduly disappointed when it doesn’t happen

for legal purposes this is a joke  I love this forum

Finding out who voices who blows my mind each time. I could have sworn that Jiao is a new voice Ive never heard before in the games.

A mission based on Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express” could be a cool idea.

And even something like this could bè funny. With Jiao saying, before we kill her, as in Berlin, “Good work 47” (I don’t rememnber the exact words)

Now I’m confused :joy:
From the voice alone, it always sounded clear to me that Imogen Royce == Jiao

But listening to the tour guide to the ICA Facility (credited as Vera Chok), she actually also has a similar pitch as Jiao but adding a Chinese accent over.

Now, Nicholas Goh is only credited as Hush but his voice can be found in other Chinese civilians and homeless in Chongqing, so the database isn’t 100% accurate anyways.
goh
But on the voice alone I’m no longer certain

Most likely Vera Chok voices Chen Ting (ICA tour guide) with the Chinese accent and indeed also voices Jiao with a British accent, while Elsie Bennett voices Royce and others but just happens to have a similar voice to Jiao, enough for me to think these were the same actress.

I think it wouldn’t be politically correct if a white person would fake an Asian accent, to be honest. Either take people from Asia (like with Hush) or just use the voice actors they have (and I assume they are very limited in the WOA trilogy) but don’t let them fake accents from countries they don’t come from.

To be fair, that happens all the time in games and movie. Chadwick Boseman was born in America and played an Africian king with accent.

As long as it’s not cringeworthy (“Me love you long!”) and they put actual time and effort into making the accent sound authentic, I won’t complain.

Yeah I agree. But I think there is a difference between Chadwick Boseman doing an African accent and someone like Mickey Rooney playing Mr. Yunioshi in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Bozeman at least has African ancestors, while Rooney is as far away from Asia as an American can be. So his interpretation of Mr. Yunioshi in my opinion is racist in every way, because it serves clichés.

Sorry, I didn’t want to start a discussion here, that’s just my opinion that came to my mind, because the accents in Hitman are always a theme. I think they did well with Olivias actress or Hush’s and I find it respectful that they didn’t let white actresses or actors do Asian or African accents. That’s just all I wanted to say :see_no_evil:

I think the biggest problem with Mickey’s portrayal wasn’t the accent necessarily but the everything else. The buck teeth, the glasses, it was like that Krusty the Klown bit. I’ve never seen Breakfast tho so I don’t really remember what he sounded like.

(just read through 400-ish comments. Wow I missed a lot of good conversation)

  • Yes, I think the DLC might be reworked maps across the whole trilogy. Though we don’t know if we’re only going to get 3, or 5, or something higher than that.

  • I stand with everyone’s dreams of having a Halloween or Christmas-inspired bonus mission, but I can see a future where that doesn’t happen. We already have a Christmas bonus level in Paris, a Halloween escalation for HB. The only other seasonal content was the Hokkaido Snow Festival that tied into the region and time it released and soon we’ll have the Berlin Egg Hunt for Easter/start of Spring.
Those bases have been covered, so I don’t think they’ll do it again. Maybe we’ll get something summer-related (if they can make it that fast) for Hawke’s Bay.

  • I want to note that I’m worried with how many ETs we might get – both Legacy and New for H3. It’s probably too early to tell, but so far we’re getting one Elusive per month.
If we expect IO to only support this game for a year, that means we might only get 12 overall (plus a few extra if they double-up a couple months). Hopefully they confirm they’ll just add them all permenantly at some point. The uncertainty is exhausting.

The use of the #resort is interesting. I doubt she’s doing her recording from a vacation resort. A hint that we’re getting new content in Haven Island, perhaps?

I feel the same about a Christmas location. Probably not gonna happen because we already have Holiday Hoarders.
Halloween I’m not sure. We have an escalation but not a full location, so I still see it as a possibility.

That is true.

Plus, it would be nice to get a second Halloween or Xmas bit of content, since anyone who has been playing this trilogy since 2016 probably already knows what’s going to be on the roadmap this October and December…

Or a Hokkaido springbreak theme with all the snow removed, because they enjoy our tears.

…And the default suit will remain as the Snow Festival suit. :cold_sweat:
