Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

Won’t a similar campaign like Patient Zero do you instead?

To be answered likely around 2025/26.

I think that’s about when we’ll see 47’s bald head show up again. I imagine when the game hits, it will take place many years after the events of Hitman 3. Would be really cool if is indeed 47 and Diana chasing ‘The Untouchables’ like how it’s left on the cliffhanger in Hitman 3.

Let’s finally take out Birdie in a mission, IO. It can be set somewhere in between Absolution and HITMAN.

I never want to see Birdie again. He reminds me of the low-level, unchallenging targets in Absolution, and is nowhere near the calibre of prey that 47 should be going after. 47 was made to set his sights on bigger fish than that; a complete no-mark like Birdie is beneath 47 IMO, he’s the kind of target that a ten-a-penny mob hitman would be assigned to.

And besides… THAT was a parallel universe.

So give us a showdown with alternate 47.

Dunno about Diana but since 47 stepped out of a train in the nowhere into the snow and reached one of Diana’s hideouts which is also in a snowy location, he might have just not found it right away?

Diana was probably doing important stuff to stop the world collapsing after Providence and the ICA went down

Knowing 47 tho he was just practicing some niche hobby. I reckon he took up knitting. He tried a sweater once in New York and he loved it

Or a nice father-daughter bonding experience because that son of a bitch sold her dad out. She can have one personal contract, as a treat.

Call-Backs? So one is fine?

Think that was just an in-game joke :joy:

Regardless I know Absolution did leave fans on opposite sides of the fence, but no matter what you thought of the game, I personally will always be a supporter of the game. IOI even said that Hitman 2016 takes place after the events of Absolution. On the plus side, new elements that were brought in Absolution have actually benefited the franchise and they have stuck with series moving forward. For example, Instinct, the way 47 drags downed targets etc.

Yeah, I appreciate that it made some innovations and we wouldn’t have the WoA trilogy without it, but in terms of the actual fiction of the game I think it goes against everything the franchise stands for, and personally I’d be happy if we never heard anything more - even a hint! - about the events and characters of Absolution ever again in future Hitman games.

I love Absolution (probably partially due to it being my first introduction to Hitman). But yeah, it seems so out of step thematically with what the franchise wants to be now that I see why it gets the least love atm (in lore, unlockables, and callbacks).

There’s also the fact that Absolution’s story is inherently smaller scale than the other games. Other games have 47 jet setting around the world trying to stop huge conspiracies and bring down important people. Whereas Abs is essentially a small scale revenge tail against a bunch of US rednecks, no one of as considerable influence (bar Dexter and maybe Travis). Thus it makes sense its events get mentioned less. No one is going to remember the time a bunch of low-life small town gang members died (compared to like the US Vice President or something).

Plus it seems to get the most ire from fans, so IO is probably safer betting on a BM or C47 reference than an Abs one :man_shrugging:

Exactly. In fact I’m a big fan of Abs, I love a lot of things about it, including the story (!) , but GOD! Never such thing should occur to the Hitman franchise again nor Abs events should be brought up.

Well they seem to be referencing the classic games more in terms of content that were getting. For example, The Proloff Parable Escalation is a throw back to Silent Assassin with the costume from Hidden Valley  I suppose we have got references from Absolution still such as the Terminus Suit but I think the main focus will be on the classic games for future Escalations and DLC etc.

The Berlin Deluxe Escalation is probably going to be an Absolution reference. That way every game will get at least one new suit/escalation

  • Dubai - BM
  • Dartmoor - Contracts
  • Berlin - Abs
  • Chongqing - C47
  • Mendoza - H2SA
  • Romania - H2SA

It would be odd if they just ignored Abs

I have a slight feeling that Berlin deluxe suit will be either the bird costume from BM or Charlie the chipmunk from Absolution. The whole forest setting and those eggs lying around the level is kinda sus.

Would make sense. I mean the Red Dragon outfit appeared in both Codename 47 and Silent Assassin.

Personally, I hope it’s either a Hope Cougar outfit, the Patriot or the Samurai armor.

Then again, I don’t own the Deluxe Pack so it doesn’t matter what I want.

Not to mention, though nay-sayers with Zero Experience developing games say “it might be too difficult to implement,” Sniper Assassin missions in H3 form with mission stories and the likes would be amazing… would love to know their alternative backstories.

Yeah that is very true I suppose. Like you say we’ve currently got the following:

  • The Devils Own - Dance With The Devil (Blood Money).
  • Formal Hunting Attire - Beldingford Manor (Contracts).
  • The Black Dragon - Lee Hong Assassination (Codename 47).
  • The Guru Suit - Terminal Hospitality (Hitman 2: Silent Assassin)
  • The White Shadow - Hidden Valley and At the Gates (Hitman 2: Silent Assassin)

For Absolution we could have the suit from Streets of Hope/Shaving Lenny? You know the black suit without the tie?

We could also get 47’s priest suit from the Orphanage in Absolution as well?

Just ideas??
