Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

I’d love to see a mission where 47 takes out Knight and Stone from the co-op missions. The ICA is basically non existent so we will probably never see these characters again otherwise.

The original idea for sniper assassin iirc is that one player would be sniping and the other would be onsite. Imagine if Knight and Stone employed this approach to hunt 47, not sure what their motive would be to be honest.

Berlin is unsuitable because it would feel too much like the main mission, but I can really see this working in Mendoza. Imagine having one of the characters in a semi-randomized location with a rifle looking for you, and the other is somewhere on the ground. The targets roles would switch up each time for a fresh experience.

This would be such a unique bonus mission, you have to search for the party for one of your targets, and also avoid the major sight lines to avoid being spotted, or use it to your advantage to draw out the sniper

They could’ve made it a special assignment.

Yeah, I quite like that idea. I’ve always been a fan of Knight and Stone, so let’s finish their story off. And to build off of the cool ‘enemy sniper’ idea we saw in Berlin (which wasn’t fantastically well done, but unique AI scripting does seem hard)

I’d say

  1. Keep them off instinct like ETs and the ICA agents in Berlin in the initial playthrough. That way finding them is a real trick and it makes it harder to place down where the sniper is so you can’t just quickly snipe them yourself

  2. Have the sniper constantly on the move so again you can’t just quickly snipe them or easily avoid them. It should feel like they’re a real threat constantly hunting you

  3. After you kill the agent in the party you get an earpiece you can use to track the sniper agent and then you can take them down (or vice versa)

  4. If one of them goes down the other changes their strategy. Like maybe implements the Colorado stalker AI so will hunt you down wherever

Think that’d make them feel like real threats. But again, IO has stated they had to put a load of work into just Diana’s custom scripting to get her to work right. So big changes to the AI isn’t easy. But we can dream :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

No word of a lie, I was not expecting Diana to help in the distillery. That completely threw me for a loop. I don’t think I’ve ever clapped at a game for surprising me completely, but congrats IOI, you did it.

My guess is that it wasn’t an accident, and as you say, may actually release it.

Not sure why they were cut, but my guess is they had issues trying to find a reason for them being there.

‘is that a suitcase?’
‘no it’s the electric phone’

I think it’s very unlikely that the story would continue in a DLC. They’ll probably let the end of the trilogy rest for a few years before catching up with it again.
But, yeah, the disguise system would be a problem for Grey and new locations would be optimal. Maaaaybe the DLC could have a one off mission to play as Grey and test the concept.

A memorylike mission as young Janus would be much better than a Soders DLC!

Lucifer did a really good episode set in the 40s that had the cast playing different characters. That could work with Hitman, with 47 playing Janus, Diana as a black widow type agent, Smith as the incompetent American buffoon, Grey as the undercover US asset ready to sabotage things.

Theres a similar Episode of X Files thats set in the 40s, in the Bermuda Triangle i believe. It has Nazi-Director Skinner and even had a special intro, saying “Die Wahrheit ist da draußen” instead of “The Truth is out there”:smile:

We definitely won’t see the story continue in DLC. IOI have already said the WOA trilogy has now come to a close in terms of advancing the story. When the next game arrives, I believe we’ll see the story pick up years after we last saw 47.

They don’t need to advance the story, they just need to fill in some of the gaps in our knowledge. Which ones? Up to them.

Am I the only one who would be interested in additional Mission Stories DLC for all main levels?

After transferring my progress to H3, all the mission stories from previous levels were reset to zero. I just completed them again and had a blast because of the cinematic aspect behind those mission stories.

Because of time and budget, seems IOI had to cut some from past and current levels. Would be nice if they were adding those they had initially envisioned as a DLC.

Sgail: Repurpose the Fireplace Room and Landing Plattform to a Festival. Close of the Inside second Floor and above.

Miami: The Park could actually be used for something. The Kronstadt would be closed down by the New CEO.

Mumbai: Daytime Mumbai showed me that I would really love high Areas. Maybe the Houses where the Maelstroms “Love Intrest” lives could actually be populated.

@Travis_IOI wanted to ask the writers about Greys birthdate. I still want to know why he wears that bandage. And what about Olivia? She was seven when he met her. What about her time with Hush? What have Diana and 47 done in the year after the events of Hitman 3? It doesn’t look like work. Did they split? Did they went on a vacation? And what about the cuddle cabin?

Still so many questions…

Fixed!

Wow, 47 in the 40s would be quite amazing. Nothing canon, just fun historical missions. Imagine infiltrating one of the Nazi buildings, full of soldiers, commanders, top staff walking around like the Kroll Opera House. Soviet Union Lubyanka building, Imperial Japan, plenty of missions. I think Call of Duty did this and it was well-received.

Wasn’t there an Easter egg in New York that had the look of a 50s movie? Where 47 looked like an agent from those old movies and everything went black and white. That was cool, they could do a whole level in that style

Not as good as the Hitman series but still a bunch of solid stealth games. Sadly, none of them have ever been released in Germany, because we Germans are very vulnerable to Nazi symbols. If we saw a Swastik in a video game we would probably starting goose-stepping and talking about conquering other countries the very next day.
