Then maybe Phil and his bosses should take a paycut instead of letting his bosses axe nine percent of the MS Gaming division.
Of course I went there, it isnāt like he made it especially hard for me to go. He basically gave me a business class ticket.
Hehe. You seem like a discerning fellow. Could I interest you in Overwatch 2? Itās just like the first one, but much worse!
Now give me money pleeeeease
I am a discerning fellow, I discerned that Overwatch 2 was going to be a clunker from a mile off.
āI reflect on friends of mine in the industry that have been displaced and lost their jobs and how just, I donāt want this industry to be a place where people canāt, with confidence, build a career.ā
(Proceeds to cut 1900 jobs)
He gives off quite a few weird statements, like including Steam into Xbox or bringing more cross platform to it. Things you would not have thought he brings up, maybe he and the board is desperate.
I think the thing Xbox is greatly missing out (like all other consoles currently) is to not open-source their game dev APIs and development kits. Many indie developers cannot produce for consoles unless they have a big name in their back or have proven earned enough money with the PC version to bring it there. It is also hard to even elaborate if porting is worth it if nobody is allowed to publish the technical details.
Sure there would be low quality games but since Microsoft is still ruling their storefront, they could find a solution there for sure.
An incredibly rare IGN win as they released an expose into toxic workplace culture at Deck Nine. It is detailed, it is lengthy and best of all, itās comment section is turned off.
Agent 47 is in the third spot of the list of most recognized video game characters from BAFTA.
Just stop making ālive servicesā no one asked for. Canāt wait for the WoA servers to be shut down, IO Interactive
@YellowZR1 Just came across this in an Outside Extra video. Might be up your (and other peopleās) alley? Didnāt check if thereās a PS version thoughā¦
Hey this looks very cool! Thanks. It reminds me of a child me playing Tokyo Xtreme Racer on PS2, which is the game type that you donāt see major game companies develop these days.
Thereās always a major group of weebs car enthusiasts who especially adore Japanese tuner scene such as JDM sports cars, Initial D manga, highway racing, and touge drift battle (including me ofc ). But for some reason, itās been long since any video game depicting this type of car culture land on consolesā ground. On one hand, youāve got PC players modify the hell out of Assetto Corsa just to cruise on Wangan Sen. On the other hand, Xbox players have been long screaming that the next Forza Horizon installment should take place in Japan, etc. To be fair though, even F&F: Tokyo Drift happened almost two decades ago. So maybe this kind of trend does slowly die with todayās Japanese sports car line up as well. Thereās just not as many choices as in the 90ās and 00ās. So is the games too.
Anyway, itās very nice to see indie game development continue bringing back this kind of idea and realize it into actual games. Like Night-Runners, it proves that thereās still plenty of audiences who enjoy and try to live a fantastic dream of being a master of touge and street racing.
This is Mario + Rabbids erasure (And Rayman: Origins slander) and I wonāt stand for it!
Also I hate the trend of running every single game through Unreal 5, it might have been a decade since the last Rayman but at least it had a visual style.
Itās either that or Unity so pick your poison.
Games that use Unreal 5: Fortnite, PUBG, Payday 3
Games made with Unity: Dave the Diver, Bro Force, Outer Wilds, The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, Untitled Goose Game, Desperados 3, Superhot, Disco Elysium, Wasteland 2 (and 3), Firewatch, Return of The Obra Dinn, Pillars of Eternity, Hands of Fate, Hollow Knight and of course Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy
I think it is an easy choice.
