Seen a suggestion elsewhere that it could be linked to skipping the end cutscene. You can hear the objectives checking off in the background while it plays, maybe that’s necessary for it to count. Kind of like how you used to (or still do?) have to wait for the “unnoticed kill” notification before exiting a level for SA. I did a perfect run without skipping & it worked, but I don’t seem to get half the bugs everyone else does anyway so idk if that means anything.
Has anyone actually noticed a XP bonus for completing a mission after advancing the Prestige Level to 1? Aside from the one-time 2000 XP reward you get from the first associated Challenge/Feat, I mean?
Also, it seems I haven’t lost my Collector’s Lockpick and Collector’s Coin upon advancing my Prestige Level to 1. Apparently, I’m not the only one.
And while I’m on the subject of the safehouse weapon walls: the weapons don’t get highlights anymore while in Instinct mode. Could be an intentional change, but I think it makes it a bit hard to see your progress, personally (the image is fairly dark).
Still regarding the weapon walls, the patch notes mention a “new marker to help find and identify a newly unlocked item”, and I’m a bit confused… Even before the May patch, there was such a marker for newly unlocked Ancestral and Ornamental gear already. So upon reading the patch notes, I figured the same marker would now appear for gear you’ve purchased or found in a previous mission. But nope, I’m not seeing any difference there. So I’m not seeing any change at all, really. Then again, that was after advancing my Prestige Level, so maybe the marker only shows up the very first time you purchase or find new gear (i.e. on “Prestige Level 0”)?
Also, I still can’t grab the fuse cell in the safehouse garage…
(And finally, just in case: am I the only one who somehow lost the Classicballer after the very first Prestige Level 1 mission? Not necessarily a bug, maybe just a brain fart on my part, really, but I seriously don’t know why I would have dropped it at any point…)
I’m very disappointed that they didn’t fix the fuel cell which you can’t pick up 90% of the time in the garage. How hard can that be? Compared to all the other things they nerfed and added, it should be super easy to fix the fuel cell. Lazy or incompetent.
… why did I fail this? Diana literally said to me “Good work 47, get back to the safehouse we’ll be in touch” only to find myself losing my stage 3 hardcore campaign for no reason.
Sigh, hardcore is already a pain in the ass but losing it to dumb reasons like these makes it unbearable.
If you’re playing hardcore, do not choose ‘perfect run’ because sometimes you can’t finish all other objectives. And in hardcore, only prestige objective is mandatory, but choosing perfect run as a PO, that makes all the other objective mandatory too.
you would think things like this deserve higher priority than a bread on dartmoor or the muffin glitch, but who knows, I’m not a developer. At least speedrunners are happy now, right?
This is probably obvious, but I’m gunna say it anyway…
Be careful about the number or targets too. If you have X methods of killing but Y number of targets (Where X > Y ) then that’s another way to get screwed over.
Maybe they knew better than to allow for that combination, but no telling.
I just lost the final showdown on the final campaign because I had some issues and had to close the game via task manager (since alt+f4 isn’t allowed anymore).
Amazing, I love Hardcore mode
Guess who lost again in the stage 3 showdown because the game spawned him in front of a lookout and closing it via task manager did nothing and now lost an epic sniper rifle and a legendary pistol!
… I’m not touching Freelancer again until they either fix this shit or they make it so I don’t have to play Hardcore as long as I live by getting that stupid achievement.
