Freelancer - General Discussion

I haven’t had any issue with Marrakesh so far honestly, besides that spawn point on the roof with the soldier about to spot you. Always get messed up on Santa Fortuna though, & Mumbai.

Trying to do the cold feet challenge - it’s stopped counting… it’s stuck on 15/20 and has been for the past 4 exits.

Friendo you and me both. Furthest I’ve gotten is halfway through the 4th syndicate. This mode is absolutely punishing to small mistakes. Doesn’t take long for the entire area to just start pumping lead into you.

In response to @47saso47 , I’m also on PS4 and have had a full handful of crashes as of yet. So… :man_shrugging: ?

Neither. Sapienza on Hardcore is my fave. You can cheese it easily and get a lot of XP doing so nice, calm and methodically.

Is it about Showdown or Freelancer in general? Sometimes the first syndicate (three first missions) only have 1-2 number of targets (non-hardcore) & I have experience found 1 target mission that have 2 kill method objective. Nothing I can do about it.

But if it’s about Showdown, we can plan ahead to choose where our Showdown will be. Just make sure the default objective of the map is not for multiple targets.

Sigh… and, again, a Target escaped, this time at the end of Level 2.

I feel like the least that could happen when the target starts to exfiltrate, is to re-mark all suspects in instinct. Because I unmarked all 5/6, and could not figure out who or where or how the target managed to escape Miami by just looking at the main map.

So, I don’t think I saw the post of anyone ever answered this: does using either of the dart guns count as a “firearm” in Silent Assassin - No Firearms Prestige Objective?

Yes and No. Yes it’s count as firearm if you miss the shot and No if you hit any NPC. It’s weird.
Also can be called (SA-No Firearms = Perfect Shooter-Dart Gun)

It’s not the case if the “no firearms” objective was the default mission objective. Even your shot hit the NPC, the objective will fail.

Don’t feel down my friend, I too haven’t completed a Campaign yet. I got up to my 3rd and failed… now I haven’t touched it in 5 days because I’m at work (away from home).

So I’m giving hardcore mode a go (this is my last 2 days with the game before I have to go back to work) and wow, I had no idea it would be this difficult. Had a target in Santa Fortuna - usually I would rush in there, shoot one in the head and then do the objective kill with the other. I didn’t get the chance, because they immediately fired at me and killed me in about three bullets.

I’ve never played hitman in master mode before - so these changes are completely new to me. Going to be a rough couple days of failing.

What happens with the suppliers once you own everything?

Nobody knows, and we’re not supposed to ask. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They are still there but have no inventory. You can view their empty inventory if you want though.

If you use a disposable will it show up in the same mission or more likely the next?

Yeah, I find this a bit of a shame given that Jane Perry recorded a whole bunch of new dialogue for Freelancer - it would have been nice just to get a couple of new lines from David to add a little bit of freshness into the flavour of the experience (plus removing the need to crowbar in pre-existing lines of Bateson dialogue that don’t make sense in this context).

Then again, I remember that somebody checked out the price list of DB’s Cameo account and it was eye watering vs JP’s Cameo so maybe IOI just didn’t have enough Mercers in their vault…

It’s so weird. If you own everything ioi should really implement something to remove their icon and prompt because yeah, they have ZERO inventory. Or even better, list a bunch of stuff as “already owned” so it at least appears that the gun seller HAS guns and gear, just not any you need. :joy:

I’ve had that happen multiple times to the Leader in Berlin.

Still didn’t achieve a single campaign… I failed my first campaign on the very last mission (very frustrating) but that was my fault. I wasn’t attentive and too confident and the additional NPCs present on Freelancer maps caught me doing bad things.

But my second fail was more frustrating. I was in a good streak (twelve missions without being seen, only one Showdown where I had to kill the target on the run - luckily I have identified him previously). I moved on alerted Marrakesh (with 3 targets).
One in the middle of the crowd, I used a microexplosive (to unlock the prestige objective collateral explosion). I next used a banana to make a target slipping on it (for a objective). It did, but it alerted immediately the guards by him. The guys slips alone, but everyone wants my death :expressionless: (this target was eventually killed… by the guards who fired at cars who exploded next to the unconscious target).

I managed to escape and found a new disguise. I observed the movement of the last target. I observed that he drank in a secluded area, near the ambassy. I poisoned the drink, bought a epic gun at the retailer and waited for the target to die… which never came :expressionless: due to a bug, the poison drink didn’t kill the target.
I wanted to take a picture with my phone of the problematic bottle. I put my controller on the table, and the trigger was too sensitive, resulting in an unwanted fired shot (I didn’t pause the game to take the picture) alerting all the nearby guards! This time, my luck had passed and I died, losing my precious guns and some money. Was devastated.

Let’s start a new campaign. I take my time personally. But for the last missions, I won’t care about objectives and try to be more direct…

It actually counts as a different disguise too, you can change into another garbage man disguise from that one.

This is what you called Speed-Grinding
