Wait I thought my deluxe and 7ds weapons are going into the safehouse. There are no slots for them.
Ah, so an Assassin is just a keen bodyguard.
The Lookout just has a bigger penalty than a normal enforcer.
Got it.
It’s stark to begin with an empty cabinet, but it’s also nice.
That’s it. The Assassin trails far behind the target so it tries to get there by the time you’re doing a long animation (choke) but so far, I’ve not had a problem lol.
So a swift elimination is a plus in a showdown, knife, screwdriver…
(unless objectives are worth pursuing)
So I playtested Freelancer in September 2021, check out my tweet

Oh wow, that’s awesome, congrats man! Is there anything else you can tell us about it or do you have to keep your lips sealed?
I am actually not sure if I can go into details, but I was allowed to share the pictures the moment Freelancer launched.
I can tell you one thing tho. In the early builds you could buy meeting phones, and you could also get them from crates in the safehouse. If a suspect was going to a handover meeting, you could bring the phone, call it in a secluded area and free kill. But it was changed luckily
oh no. what’s up with it…?
its the ctt build with slight improvements, which was fully what i was expecting. So thats good. The not good thing is that i only enjoyed the ctt up to a certain amount of time and that amount of time is not 100 mastery levels
aww that sucks. sorry to hear that, man.
Well, the new NPCs (not originally on the map) sure do have a nasty habit of following distraction sounds to their source and then instantly turning around 180 degrees. Almost fucked up one of my showdowns.
Found it too, though for me it spawned floating in the air inside Mr Pritchard’s room in Chonqing.
Got my first salary from Bangkok job.
Good job by IOI, enjoying the freelancer mode.
A lot to discover of more than 100 challenges.
What I liked from my 1 hour of play -
- The loading screen ciematics.
- New NPCs and routes
- New NPC targets
- The Water Canister - I brought it with me (as shown below) - this is going to be my favourite tool (combining battery)
- Money managements - savings and when to spend
- bonus NPC to collect additional money
I’m enjoying it so far but I’m inclined to agree with your sentiments; it might get old sooner rather than later.
For now, though, I do really enjoy what it’s bringing to the table.
Initially I was shocked at how expensive this Kalmer was, then I realized it was the Collector’s Edition one, and I needed it for the mission too. I was really close to doing SASO and was so proud of myself, then I got spotted KOing a guard from a new NPC that they added to Freelancer. Seems like I’ll need to re-learn a lot of map layouts
Anyone know if the dart guns count as firearms for “no firearms” objectives?
I presume they would yes
They count for the Sharpshooter (no shots missed) task.
