Freelancer - General Discussion

Ok, this was kind of a long task but I’ve finished it (probably). If you want to buy everything you’ll have to spend 1’629’950 merces. That’s including all the DLC-items. The most expensive item is the Collector’s Sieker Emetic Edition (40’000 merces). You can’t buy the Bartoli 75R – don’t know why. And the Assassin’s HWK21 Covert. Of course there’s still the ICA Outstanding Service Coin missing. Anyway, here’s everything in a handy chart:

Which platform were you playing on?

Great work
Noticed three missing things in your list:
Bartoli 12G: also found in Colorado, main house first floor (Behind the camera recorder on a box)
Modern Emetic Syringe: Haven, Medical area in a wardrobe (Need to destroy the glass)
Golden Sawed-Off Bartoli 12G: New York, vault (Collect all 7 goldbars as bank robber)

The free HWK21 Covert (from digging in the sewers in Sgail, or safe guards in Whittleton, although that particular one might have been fixed) are also missing.

It could be useful to mention that Ancestral or Ornemental stuff cannot drop from reward crates, they can only be unlocked through mastery or bought again if lost.

Thanks, I’ll need to check if it works again on Steam when I get back to Freelancer then.

One price you’re missing is The Scrap SMG. Overall, great list!

@CHAOS_AGENT_45 Thanks! I will update those locations.
@BRYN You’re right! Have to check that next time I’m playing.

@Melusca are you sure it’s the HWK21 Covert? I have the Hackl 9S Covert for the sewers in Sgail…

You’re right, I always mix up these two guns for some reason

They should keep it in though just to make clear to everyone that favorable mistakes will be corrected but not unfavorable.

I made this spreadsheet around the launch time, most things are present: Hitman: Freeloader - #126 by Olipro

8 days after reaching Prestige Level 5, I’m already at Prestige Level 6! Can you tell I’m addicted to Hitman yet?

At this point I’ve decided to set a goal for myself: I want to be 100% done with Freelancer by Jan 26, the one-year anniversary of its release! Even though right now I’m only at 54/100 Campaigns done and 234/500 Leaders eliminated, I think I’ll be able to do them a lot faster when I reach Prestige Level 10 and don’t need to worry about side objectives anymore

I was almost completing a campaign in hard mode after two weeks. I missed only 3 missions. But A second of distraction and I was killed. I have to restart. I wanted do hit myself

What happened? Was it an assassin?

No, it was myself. A mistake. I took a gun in front of a guard and I wasn’t so fast to interrupt the game

Okay, that’s unlucky. My favourite version is when I want to equip the camera and point it at someone, but accidentally use my gun. :joy:

That’s just mean: Placing a Lookout right in front of 47 at the start. Lucky I reacted fast enough to get out of his way:

So, today I just managed to complete successfully my first hardcore campaign! :star_struck:

Hardcore was surprisingly quite doable for me. Just choose wisely your maps (H3 maps are definetly the easiest even on alerted territories), playing safely with the right disguises and everything will become as easier as normal mode. However, showdowns still feels very tense because of the large amounts of lookout patrolling the area, way more than normal. Assassins are not so dangerous as long as you don’t alert them, so taking conscious of your surroundings is still the way to go.
Of course, it’s still better to collect most of the epic and leggendary weapons before to go on hardcore.
I must say, I’m now enjoying freelancer more, after the frustrations of the last months, it’s definetly growing on me the more I play it.

The black bruiser it’s a worth reward for completing hardcore, it definitely looks badass.

And now, a bit of rest! It was a though, but enjoyable run!

There’s also one that starts right next to you in the marina in Miami (only if alerted IIRC). I almost failed a campaign thanks to this asshole once so I made it a point to kill him every time I could.

WOW! that is some commitment right there my friend! That’s awesome! I take my hat off to you! I absolutely love Freelancer as well and I’m currently aiming for the ‘Eliminate 500 Leaders’ challenge. I’m some way to go, but it’s my current aim. I’ve done Prestige only once and I don’t have any plans to do it again as I just find the grind very long. I much prefer playing Freelancer with a full range of weapons where I can choose what equipment to take with me without having to worry about not having enough tools for the job. I may decide to continue with it one day, but currently it’s not my plan.
