Just reached Mastery level 86 and unlocked the Hitman 2 OST for the safehouse. It’s kinda weird that you unlock the 2016 OST at level 7 but then have to wait until the last chunk of Mastery to unlock the other two games’ soundtracks
If there’s anything I’ve learned from slowly increasing my mastery, its that the order in which things are unlocked (especially if they are mainly cosmetic) is completely arbitrary most of the time
What I do when I get this objective is Sieker them and place the banana/grape in the bathroom stall for them.
You can rather safely sedate suspects and leader with the Kalmer (and possibly other sedatives, but I haven’t tried others so take that with a grain of salt), it’s just important that no lookout sees the unconscious body. As long as the NPC who finds them isn’t a lookout, the suspect/leader will just wake up and continue on their merry way.
I’m hoping IOI leave this as it is as well because it’s much more simple when you’ve got poison the target as an objective as well the Silent Assassin prestige objective haha
There’s another spawn location for the coin at the lake (halfway between the pier and the lookout spot).
Just got this wonderful contract. I must have about 100 hours in Freelancer by now and this is the first time I’ve got a combination of objectives that’s just completely impossible. This is why I don’t play Eco-Crime.
It’s probably already well-known, but just in case someone needs it: you can put the PS5 in sleep mode while being on a Freelancer mission, and continue where you left off later.
What do you mean? All objectives there are possible to complete.
Make target slip with banana. They get found and woken up. Then get them to a toilet to drown them. Then hide the body.
I dont really know Ambrose that well but are you saying there aren’t toilets and bins around to hide bodies?
Also, aside from what @47saso47 said, you can KO an NPC, drag their body into shallow water, and it will count as them drowning if their head submerges anywhere. On an island like Ambrose (and Haven as well), you can then drag them out to the deep area of the ocean and shove them in, hiding the body.
Individually they are all possible. But it is not possible to do all three.
This is where the problem lies. If you want to make a target slip and then drown them, then you have to have a guard wake them up. However, a target’s body being found, even if unconscious, will cause the Hide Target Bodies objective to fail.
You can do any two of them, but you can’t do all three.
That doesn’t work. ‘Drowning’ them in bodies of water counts as a Fall kill for some reason.
It’s worked for me, and should for you. Lure the target near water, preferably to a secluded place like the path near where the hippies are, make them slip on a banana, drag their body down to the shallow water where you can walk through it. They will drown, then keep dragging them out to sea until you can kick their body in. The challenge will be luring them to a secluded area of water, but with enough guile and cleverness, and a few disconnects and restarts, it can be done.
Are you sure? In my experience, drowning NPCs in shallow water has always counted as a Fall kill. Did they change it for Freelancer?
Have no idea. I never experienced it being counted as a fall kill. Like in Haven, when you make a target fall through the trap door and they are KOed on the way down, and drown in the shallow water underneath, that counted for the drowning challenge on that map for me the first time I played it. I think it counts as a fall kill if they die while falling into it, like shooting them with a tranquilizer while they’re standing in a pool; for some reason that counts. But having them already be unconscious before you drag them into water should count as a drowning.
The trap doors specifically count as a drowning kill, I know that. But every time I’ve ever dragged or knocked an NPC into a body of water, it’s always counted as a falling kill. I tested it out with the Ambrose Island rope bridge in contracts mode, and it only ever counts as a drowning kill if you get the animation where they fall through it (which, annoyingly, you can’t combine with making them slip. Even if you drag them through the hole after it has been opened, it counts as a fall. Additionally, dragging an NPC into the sea always counted as a fall kill whenever I tried it.
Well, can’t help you on that one then. I’ve never experienced that. Guess that is a case of incompatible objective, but mainly because of IOI’s programming error, then.
Yeah I just did a Headshot Kill: Legendary prestige objective instead since it pays more anyway. Maybe there is a way to do it, but I couldn’t figure it out.
I think it’s if you knock them over/shoot them in a leg and they fall in the water, it counts as a fall - if you drag them it’s drowning. IIRC.
About the fall vs. drowning in water that’s being discussed above:
It’s map dependent.
