You call female NPCs “bitch” a lot.
Must be one of those “borderline genius” things.
Because I’m on the train and the wifi dipped in and out, I originally responded to the wrong user.

Finally done with these 2 annoying challenges.
Please don’t be jealous of the amount of Mercers I have right now.
Didn’t know it was possible to have exactly 1
I also call male NPCs fucks, shitheads, Jack-offs, motherfuckers and various other insulting names. What’s your point?
And no, that’s simply a “this individual is pissing me off” thing, which anyone can relate to.
I have been told that my refusal to insult other people or swear in general is infuriating to certain people.
Worth noting that nobody has objected to obscene language. It’s a proclivity for using gendered insults against female characters which has merely been pointed out.
Not sure where to put it, but ICARUSLIVES, mostly notable for his reviews of DOOM mods and FPS games did also talk about Freelancer in his Radar Ping series.
Check him out, he’s one of my fav channels on FPS games.
Considering that proclivity skews far more heavily toward male characters without raising an issue before now, that raises some questions about the nature of the observation.
As it is, this seems more like a subject that should be approached in PMs rather than continued here, because I can already see this just asking to piss off the mods, so let’s take any further questions or observations on the matter private.
“I call male NPCs motherfuckers just as much as I call female NPCs bitches” is perhaps not the best response when discussing gendered insults.
I made a single observation about one other comment being misinterpreted. Not sure why this would create any cause for concern. I have no interest in discussing the matter privately.
u mad bro?
-Sincerely, a certified dolt.
It’s generally known, or supposed to be, that the greater insult in that word is directed towards the “fucker,” rather than the “mother.” And dickheads?
Just concerned that this is being pointed out now when I’ve exhibited such manners of speaking during my whole year and a half here, and now wondering if it’s been a bother the whole time.
Not sure if which of us you’re speaking to, but in the event it’s me, no, I ain’t mad. Confused at the possibility I might be making someone else, after all this time of showing myself as a good-natured vulgar-mouth in the vein of certain comedians I like. Last thing I want is personal controversy. If this subject being brought up is a means of saying my usage of certain words is not appreciated, I can certainly amend that if that is someone’s wish.
This is really weird, but I’ve just lost a campaign in Dartmoor as well on a showdown, resulting with me losing all my stuff in the three loot crates! I had over $900 worth of Merces as well and that’s now been reduced to about $450. Gutted about that, but I suppose I still have enough to buy these back from suppliers to make things quicker.
A bonus as well, I haven’t got many weapons left to get for the weapon wall, so the merces would just be racking up for no reason, so might as well getting spending again for the loot crates
I find losing every now and then makes the game a lot more fun - I’m genuinely looking forward to playing some tomorrow and getting my stuff back. Breaths a new life into the game, because now we have to play in ways other than dropping a rubber duck and heading to the exit!
I don’t think anyone is mad. I’m not.
Since you cite your use of other insults, a search of the forum yields some interesting results for your use of language towards NPCs…
I find this to be an intriguing balance given that 74% of WoA targets are male and 26% are female (with the majority of other NPCs we interact with being male guards).
And, as I mentioned before, “motherfucker” is itself a gendered insult which implicates women, even though it’s usually directed towards men.
Not calling for any censorship. Just find that rather curious.
Despite the presence of the word ‘mother’ in there - the insult is very much directed at the fucker, not the fuckee!
The word derives from a technical term in the original Greek of Sophocles, and loosely translates as “a person who does not conduct sufficiently thorough background checks”
Well, I don’t think I’m gonna get my point across in any response to this without really enflaming this subject, and I don’t want to create any issues again, so I’m just gonna leave it at
Hey now, women can be motherfuckers too!
I don’t want to be impolite, but can’t you guys make this discussion elsewhere? It’s difficult to follow the thread sorry!
