Sub-30 or GTFO my dude
I see your point, but also
Heisenberg though?
Anyway Iâm curious @Heisenberg, what were you doing differently, or what were you assuming would alert subsequent territories? Did you think that getting seen by a lookout in a showdown alerted further territories? Killing the wrong suspect? Other triggers? Legitimately curious.
Yes, yes, and yes. Also, I didnât take any chances with killing the leaders in ways where their bodies would be found, even in accidents or poisonings, because that still makes the other suspects raise the alarm and flee, and I thought that was making the next contractâs territories become alerted since it was all tied to the same campaign. This new info shows me that it made no difference, and I could have spent less time being cautious to avoid having to deal with alerted territories after, when I was gonna have to face them anyway, and so I could have been moving along far more efficiently had I known that. Also, I could have been making more money by taking POs that involve killing leaders during tells or trying to escape, since it doesnât affect the next contract anyway. In a way, while irritating as hell, itâs a bit relief, because this means Iâll be able to bring in more money doing those very things.
Did someone report the bug where you can pickpocket NPSs ?
I would do it my self but im too lazy.
You mean coins and ducks and other stuff they pick up? Yup. Itâs been reported a couple of times.
Sounds like it was glitched out in your mission. You only have to shoot three for this objective, and you can even still shoot them when youâve already destroyed the surveillance recorder.
That is just so mean.
No youâre not missing anything, there currently isnât any penalty for leaving your suit behind.
After all, 47 has plenty of suits and ties hung up in his wardrobe in the basement of the Safehouse, so there should be no worry about leaving a couple behind
I genuinely hope there isnât a penalty that gets added in a future patch for leaving your suit behind either.
If anything there should be a bonus for it, youâre taking some guyâs work uniform that he can always replace from some locker and you leave him a flamingo costume a classy tuxedo for free, thatâs actually very generous.
i love how hard it is, just not the Prestige objectives being forced. Otherwise, yeah. Itâs a delightful thrill of pulling out a succesful hit!
Nope, itâs motivation!
Drop the briefcase before you conceal the remote emetic device.
This is my biggest pet peeve of how they designed freelancer. Just running around shooting anyone, trespassing, etc etc. and allowing the player to not really feel any consequence.
Notoriety should have been part of freelancer to the point where if youâre running killing innocent ppl then the next map should get way more enforcers and/or lookouts, especially for showdowns the more you kill/get spotted/keep witnesses alive.
This way now is just something to reward terrible play.
And no, frote, Iâm not saying youâre a terrible player. I know youâre playing it the way you can.
But how about an SA only run? (Meaning regardless of PO, still play it based on SA. That would actually be impressive.
If youârve done it right, just wait a couple of seconds and itll work
And the main campaign is different how? You can get the fastest time in the main game by running around trespassing and shooting anyone too⌠itâs only through personal choice that you play it aiming for SA.
The same choice is yours to make in Freelancer. Or you can go for maximum objectives which often requires more tact, especially if you get certain objectives (and you can choose which kinds you will get by picking certain syndicate types). Or play on Hardcore which also limits how much running and gunning you can get away with.
Because there is a consequence. Less points/stars. Freelancer you still make money and doesnât really have any consequences during the campaign. Freelancer is supposed to be more interconnected from syndicate to syndicate within the gameplay where as the main game is only interconnected with the actual story.
There is a difference.
Well, maybe, but at the end of the day the stars are cosmetic and money barely matters as it comes easy. Thereâs still a rating system at the end and youâll get a worse one if you play messy than if you play well. If you consider not getting an ICA Assassin rating as a âconsequenceâ, then there is one.
You clearly dont have much experience on hardcore if you think you can just run and gun anyone.
Just because itâs not SA as in the main game, doesnt make it terrible play. Youâre stuck in your way of thinking.
1st off, already done plenty of those. 2nd PO is mandatory in Hardcore. 3rd i donât need to impress you.
By the way @Frote7, do you see Freelancer becoming a speedrun category on its own ? Or just a passing thing.
Iâm curious, Hitman speedrun are always fun to watch for the perfect execution, but Freelancer improvisation has something to it. Especially Hardcore.
