DARTMOOR, England (Mission #2) - Location Discussion

we finally get to see the murder-mystery corkboard that Travis was being all secretive about! love it, clearly the writer had a great time putting it all together

Now someone’s gonna have to bust out their AI to make that corkboard readable :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: bloody brilliant interview tho, absolutely love stuff like that

Again I’d buy a book about the WoA development in a heartbeat

That was a great video, thanks for sharing! And who knew that Domhnall Gleeson was a bad-ass video game level designer as well as a great actor?! :astonished:

This is great. Would love a video like this on every mission in the trilogy (or a book as TheContractor mentions) :+1:

It´s a shame they dropped the optional Emma murder, though the reason for it is understandable (if this wasn´t so story-tied but just a “regular” contract, they could´ve added it no problem :persevere: ).

Edit: I do however like the idea of Emma finding out that her life efforts were completely useless because the Carlisles have nothing now, and maybe even being caught for (potentially double) murder.

Any way to manipulate the detective into reaching an answer or is he useless?

Unfortunately he’ll just loop forever without finding anything out. 0/10 Detective

Shame. As simple as the other 2 mission stories are, at least both of the main NPCs can complete it without you disguising yourself as them.

This is what I would have loved in a deluxe of this game. Stuff like this! Just throw in a few hundred pictures of everything you can think of. I like to see how the people behind the scenes thought, what their directions have been. There is always a part of story going on “behind the scenes” thats not going live in the story we, as the players see.

Cool idea, would be neat if there was some kind of Sean Rose style manipulation mechanic that got the detective to finger someone and have that lead to the target isolating herself in some way. Alas…

That came out wrong…

Well there’s a reason why they are called private investigators. :smirk:

Or private dicks… :joy: Ok this is getting way out of hand. Back on topic shall we?

My first playthrough, and…

OMG! Level design of this mission is just pure perfection. Imersion in this level is mind blowing. Sant Fortuna was unmatched leader in this category, but Dartmoor just beated that to the ground. I knew that IOI is a masters if comes to Level Design surpass themselfs.

Dubai comparing to this level is a pure empty joke. Here even every radio have own tune! So much details in every place, tons of uniuque dialogues, every NPC have own story.

This level show what “Living, breathing world” really means. I am amazed and shocked how great this mission it is.

What gets Emma to start her greenhouse route? The family meeting starts it but I feel I’ve got it going before then. Does getting some ways into the investigation trigger it too?

No, just no.

I don’t know if there are other triggers, but fixing the poison machine usually triggered it for me.

Mumbai is the best level design I’ve ever seen in any game.

Completed the murder mystery by finding all the clues this time. Its pretty good. :+1: Was also pretty surprised by Carlisle randomly dying from poisoning after I repaired that gid in the greenhouse. This level is full of hidden stuff.
