See above; literally just thought of that and added it to my comment.

I guess itās time for my safehouse to get a makeover.
It kinda went without saying. Itās actually the most obvious issue to bring up, and I believe it was brought up extensively the first time this happened. Probably why he didnāt say it.
(realizes is defending thrison from Dribbleondo, wonders if has slipped into Twilight Zone)
IGN lists ānew targetā as part of the Hitman presentation.
I wonder how theyāre gonna add the new cosmetics in: Add more unlocks to existing Mastery levels, add Mastery levels past 100, another Thematic DLC pack? The cosmetic in the image is kinda giving me Miami/Kronstadt vibes
Probably gonna be a new ET. They said in the Year 4 teaser that ānew updates, Elusive Targets and Challengesā are gonna be added. Fingers crossed for Mumbai, New York, Haven Island, or Ambrose Island! Going back to my earlier comment, this is probably what the Twitch Drop will be promoting.
Schyzo moment but this is ioiās latest post. Look at the blueprints and the map. These are from the undying elusive target. There is supposed to be a reveal on February 21st.
New Safehouse decorations seems to be confirmed.
- the prominent living room one
- the fur carpet that seems to be for the dining room part of the customization
- finally the statue in the garden looks also new, donāt know if the āskullā is part of it or hanging from the tree
@Lewisnic1 will be happy.
If the reuse of the Undying asset tells anything, I hope for his return (maybe with a new face, and new voice acting, if rights were not just re-obtained). If.
Talking of reuse, Iām certainly a bit rusty here on game knowledge, but is the sofa a new asset?
Edit: both the sofa and the lighting are from the Miami Expo Center
I hope for some gameplay enhancement to Freelancer (phones in safes before the showdown, maybe new mission types, new syndicates?)
Having The Undying come back would be something important enough to have a special presentation at the Fan Fest thing. Iām not sure if Iād really call him a āNew Targetā though.
If they are legit able to bring him back, I really hope they were able to make him a Special Assignment or at least part of the Arcade.
Outside of the Golden Bartoli : this looks like the Bank Robber disguise.
The Bunny one.
Easter themed roadmap ?
(we are going to steal the FabergĆ© Eggs, isnāt it?)
I still donāt understand why every time I click on one of these twitter links, the tweet isnāt there. Am I doing something wrong, am I unable to see the tweet because Iām not logged into X, or are they posting and then deleting the tweets? The first two I would understand and chalk my confusion to being born in the 80s, but the latter option would confound me, if true.
Yaaaaay new Safehouse Cosmetics!!
In terms of ānew contentā this is a good first step. Gimme more, show me more!!
Maybe they deleted that tweet? Maybe its just TwitterX being stupid?
Usually youāre only allowed to visit the site not-logged in through a link, and if you try to browse someoneās profile it basically just shows you random popular tweets of theirs from the past.
But sometimes I think Iāve just seen it stonewall you into logging in to see a tweet.
It just sucks overall IMO
Time to Google āwhat the hell is IGN fanfest?ā by the looks of thingsā¦
How does this make any logical sense?
Itās a different syndicate so bringing back a phone for that network isnāt the same for the next syndicate. They change numbers. Etc. to not be tracked. But basically having this would be terrible for gameplay.
I heard somewhere from someone that allegedly took part in a secret playtest prior to the CTT in March 2022, the phones were originally storable in the safehouse at one point and it was changed based on feedback given.
Then again, the source is basically saying ātrust meā. So who knows if this is right or not.
I mean being able to find phones during the takedown missions preceding the showdown. (And they could be removed, by not being actually stocked with the post-showdown inventory clearing that is already present)
And itās more an example than a fundamental wish.
A genuine critic I have with the Freelancer mode is how insular the takedown missions are to the showdown. In general how you do not prepare anything, gain bonuses, modifiers, or any agency during the campaign. The only mechanic is the alerted missions modifier if you fail a non-alerted one. And I think it would be fundamental for a rogue-like mode.
Imagine if you could find a way to pre-emptively remove lookouts, assassins, pre-identify some of the non-leader suspects. Or even change whole mission types.
I said phones in safes, or carried by couriers. But imagine contacts that give you new objectives, maybe even multi-mission objective (encrypted data is carried by a target in a mission, the key is hidden in an otherā¦). Or even have entire mission change : have a heist that needs to be SASONKO with no target for a contact you talked to before, that can be done alternatively to the usual 1-4 target.
I like Hitman for the mission-wide preparation. Freelancer doesnāt really does anything with this longer loop of the game. A lot is done for the short and mid-length loops. But not this one. And even less for a larger, campaign wide one.
Finally the World of Assassination was made to have insular levels, and I always wanted to see what the devs could do if they broke out of that design to allow consequences between level.
@Foffy and @EstokSucks mention the details above, but for anyone wondering, here is the lineup/schedule for this IGN Fan Fest.
Wait until Wednesday for concrete Hitman news, Hitmans!
Does new target mean new location, too?
Could mean anything but my bet is on ET.
My guess is we unlock the bankrobber disguise (with gold mask perhaps).
