Hey guys…was anything new released this week?
If you already have H1 with H3, nope. Otherwise yes, 10 days free access to Paris.
and the broker et is going to be in paris next friday
Thank you my friends for your answers. Yes I have all the games and have completed everything. I’m always craving for more
Looking forward to next week’s ET.
your welcome buddy enjoy the et next week
Probably on March 4,according to the before.
I’ll be busy with Gran Turismo 7, sorry!!!
I really don’t understand the desire for roadmaps right now. Content isn’t being made at a monthly pace, so if they threw one together people would just complain that there isn’t enough stuff.
Freelancer is a ways off still, but it won’t be shadow dropped. All I can think of is people wanting to know when a patch or ET Arcade drop, but that should only warrant a specific post/tweet a few days before.
There are so many games out there, I can’t imagine being that urgent for roadmap announcing minor content weeks away.
The reason being that people just want to know what to expect. Will there be new ETs, will there be reruns of old and which ones, will Arcade be updated, will Freelancer be released at the beginning of spring, which is this month, will there be a patch, will there be new Feature Contracts. Things like that, so we can plan our playing times ahead for the month.
Content may not be coming, but there is still ETs, free play maps (like Paris currently), and ET arcades to promote. Plus community engagement with Featured Contracts and Curated Contracts (if this is returning). This would be in line with Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 prior to ending the ET reactivations and ceasing to add community contracts.
Adding the same post, is this a Forum jinx?
Hi
They’re useful for letting players engage with the developers and what players should expect over the course of the month. It builds hype, and in general just makes you look busy developer-wise.
Freelancer is the only thing I can really see someone planning greater time around (like booking time off work), and that will definitely have an announcement to it.
I’m mostly wondering about: why monthly roadmaps? Because outside of Freelancer I can guess the majority of the content based on previous patterns: We’ll get a H3 ET rerun, a H1/2 ET, 3 or so featured contracts, and the Berlin Egg Hunt will hopefully return permanently around the end of the month or first week of April.
The unknowns are ET Arcade, which I’m sure won’t be stand alone ETs anytime soon if at all, and a potential patch, with the patch notes only getting posted on the day of.
Anyway, I’d be for monthly roadmaps if the content was new like launch H3. Instead, resources are properly going into Freelancer and Rocky. The stuff that does release, like ETs/Arcade/FCs, I can get around to a few days after they launch.
I think we were expecting roadmaps, since the live service aspect of Hitman seemed to be operating at the same capacity in its second year compared to previous entries.
The blog post is hyping up everything for hype’s sake, sure, that’s what it’s supposed to do. But at the time, being revealed while some Year 1 content was coming out, made it seem like it would be business as usual for 2022 with “12 months” planned out.
Previous WoA games just ended their year 1 and quietly transitioned to re-run ETs and small batches of Featured Contracts.
But this time we know there’s a plan of new content. While the Year 2 video shed light on some of that content and when to expect it, quite a bit of it was vague release windows.
With ETs still being run, Featured Contracts, and ET Arcade too (the video showed contracts not yet released), some people just want to know when to expect these, and when not to expect the big stuff. We just want to know what the plan is, or if there’s other small surprises too.
(At this point though, with what’s going on in the world, I wouldn’t blame IOI if they have other priorities in the office)
In my opinion, the backlash against the Elusive Target Arcade content threw IOI for a loop and they’re trying to figure out how to address it. That means a lot more than just a public statement. They are trying to re-tool the mode, establish a new way of doing things, and iron out bugs that the community has told them are unacceptable. Rather than deliver roadmaps for content that will only beg the question of what is happening with that “elephant in the room”, they’re staying quiet until they have a definitive statement.
Right decision? Can’t say, but that’s my bet as to what’s happening. As little public info as possible until they can speak to how they’re addressing things.
I hope you’re accurate about that. If that were the case, I feel like it’d be best if they addressed that ETA was the current reason for the general radio silence on the live service. 'Cause right now there are a lot of unsaid things.
If they’re putting more focus on improving ETA, we don’t know.
What small content that’s coming up, we dont know.
But they are still releasing small things for H3, so they aren’t really addressing the elephant in the room either.
Freelancer is coming up, and I can be patient for that. Looks good. The game just feels like its in a weird limbo state of… a few things going on until the big content drops (no worries, it’s happened before), but this time there’s no heads up on it.
Agreed. @Travis_IOI said that “radio silence is rarely good” but that’s what I think a lot of players are seeing right now. They know that ETA wasn’t received like they’d hoped and they know that there is a lot of anticipation on the Freelancer mode and the new map later this year. They’re doing everything they can to make sure those go as smoothly as possible, at least I hope that’s what’s happening.
Only @Travis_IOI and @Clemens_IOI can tell us though.
Still, a simple “we’re working on it. Stay tuned…” would be appreciated.
