Which game was the hardest?

I know this forum has been around for a while, and his question was probably asked before. But I’m just curious which was the hardest game?(putting aside trying to get the highest rating / Silent Assassin. Meaning just completing the mission at hand). I have to say it Hitman 2 Silent Assassin was the hardest one, it’s honestly way more realistic than the new ones (and a lot of stealth games in general). Because you didn’t have the option of martial arts when you were sneaking up behind the enemy to knock them out or kill them. And you move so freakin’ slow when sneaking (even with the slide method, it’s pretty hard). If anyone wants to chime in you can also add any kind of explanation for why you think so.

H2SA is certainly the hardest; you’re correct.

I think a huge difference is the ability to save, in that regard you could save in H2SA but not in C47. So it’s a draw but I would call C47 more frustrating

I mean there’s really no requirement for being stealthy in Codename. I mean, if you’re playing the game straight forward like a speed run with no other requirements except completing the game, I’d say code name is easier than H2SA. You just got to make sure your civilian casualty count isn’t too high so it doesn’t fail the mission or detract too much money from your account. Also not to spend too much on equipment is a good thing too

Plus in Codensme, enemy really can’t see through your disguise. Only when you’re around a very important NPC or event

It’s either Codename 47 or H2: Silent Assassin.

Since you can’t save on Codename 47 i guess it makes it the hardest one.

Eh it’s a minor annoyance

Silent Assassin is the hardest by far.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, no contest. If you were going for an SA rating on any mission, God be with you. At least in Codename 47 that didn’t exist and once it did in subsequent games we knew it was impossible. No false hope. The second game gives you that hope and then bunches you in the genitals with it.

Yeah but I’m asking about just getting the mission done, it doesn’t necessarily have to be getting that specific rating. But if you are saying to get the best rating possible (no other goals no suit only no killing civilians exedra, just getting the mission done with highest rating) for each game, Silent Assassin is by far the hardest one.

It’s the hardest even without chasing a rating. Put it on anything except easy and try to run + gun. Good luck!

I remember loosing my mind & racking my nerves playing S.A. on my PS2 until I finally completed everything in the highest rating.

As the ultimate consolation to racking my nerves in this game, I unleashed my PS2 GameShark and it’s host of game breaking codes (invincibility, infinite ammo & items, bomb bullets, rag doll, etc.).

To this day, I remember breaking this game wide-open hilariously as I trounced the game’s AI on max difficulty. Totally satisfying, despite the game’s original playing challenges.

I highly recommend to any well-deserved Hitman Fan to dive back into S.A., Contracts, and B.M. with these game breaking codes and cheats AFTER you’re already completed the games normally (same thing for Freedom Fighter).

Easily Hitman 2 Silent Assassin.

It’s also the hardest hitman game to google now thanks to HITMAN 2

In one of my playthroughs for H2:SA, I almost started crying when doing a SA run on Hidden Valley. Few games made me shed tears (of anger).

Try doing it on expert it’s a freaking nightmare

Doing it on easy with infinite saves is already a nightmare. Forget any higher difficulties.

I never played Codename 47, so I can’t compare. I go for Silent Assassin, it was a nightmare and still is

Japan missions in SA, easily. C47 can be tough too, given its lack of saves. Lots of trial and error.
