My daily mouse from the past 5 years, have begun to show its age. So I bought the same model again. 5 years of use I find acceptable.

It began double clicking yesterday and decided that it was time to buy a new.

Heck it, just because it was a pretty unique and pretty good Marvel series IMO, I bought WandaVision on disc!

Got it from some third-party on Amazon since it was a few bucks cheaper than the current sale price. They added in a little note that they enjoyed the show and hope I enjoy it too, and also threw in a Robocop sticker!

Pre-ordered Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi on 4K Blu-ray.

Andor the best Star Wars entry since Empire Strikes Back and The Last Jedi. Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s there. It has a lot of cool and awesome moments, but also a lot of jank. Either way, I want to support physical media in this streaming hellscape of a world.

Some good deals of over 30% off and under 20$ deals on Amazon for a bunch of movies led me to do this purchase.
Also I can’t believe until now I haven’t owned a copy of EEAAO – I adore that movie!

We don’t have a 4K TV, but I got these versions due to the deal and they come with a Standard Blu-Ray disc too.
Bill & Ted – I could have gotten just the first movie on blu-ray for 12$, but after finding there isn’t a blu-ray version of the sequel out there (and a deal on a 1+2 DVD pack for just 10$, decided on that!

Also, I know the sequel wasn’t very successful and is regarded as a cult-classic now, but man, what is with this horribly low-budget-looking title card??

I’ve seen the first Bill& Ted a long while ago, but never the sequel, so that’s exciting!

Also, screw it, I bought a physical copy of the AC Ezio Collection recently, since I’m finding it hard to get into my new games DiscoElysium and Hi-Fi Rush, when I just want to finish AC2 since I’m just 4 chapters away from the end and can’t get my mind off it. But lost access to PS+ Extra so it just sits on my home screen teasing me…

So I bought a copy for 22$ - about 8$ more than the usual digital sale price - in the hopes it arrives before it goes on sale again. Plus, the games are fun and of good length, so I’ll get my money’s worth over time…

Haven’t played Alone in the Dark yet but Dragon’s Dogma 2 is nice so far.

Moar Displates, with a funky canvas monkey to go with them (albeit the monkey wasn’t a purchase, but a gift from my very talented aunt who painted it herself):

I recently started again with an old childhood hobby of mine, Origami. The papers I found in local stores were too small and thick though. So I ordered a bunch of specialized papers from a dedicated Origami shop. It felt a bit weird to spend 50€ on paper of all things , but it’s much more fun and rewarding with good material to work with.

I’m thinking about getting some displates for my office at some point. I really like those location posters for Hitman, was thinking of getting 3 of them for my favourite location of each game from World of Assassination. Take it you seem to have a good time with them? From that picture you definetly have great taste in them and your aunt is definetly very talented.

In general, I couldn’t be happier with the HITMAN Locations Displates - they’re great quality and they look fab. For the Locations series in particular, if you do end up ordering any I recommend choosing the Matte finish rather than the Gloss: the Locations series are all done in a cartoony picture-postcard style and so (IMO) you don’t want the finish to be shiny as the images themselves aren’t meant to sparkle. The Matte finish is also cheaper than the Gloss, which is a win-win as IMO it looks better.

If budget/space allows and you’re getting 3 in, I’d go for the Large size rather than the Medium. I went with Medium because I knew I was going to be ordering all of them and nobody has a big enough wall to put 22 Large Displates up together, but the Mediums aren’t all that big individually so given you’re looking to get a sensible number I’d recommend going Large if possible. (But NOT Extra Large for any Displate… they print one image across 4x Medium Displates and then you have to hang them up together which leaves joins in your image. Looks crap IMO.)

The one cautionary note I would offer is that I’ve seen enough posts on Reddit where Displates mounted using the supplied paper adhesive patch + flat magnet mounting system have fallen off someone’s wall and caused damage that I didn’t trust their mounts and made my own. (From the examples I’ve seen of the Displate mounts failing, the Displate itself NEVER falls from the magnet, but the magnet/paper adhesive can on occasion fall off the wall.) I understand that failures with the supplied mounting system aren’t necessarily common if you don’t have rough-surfaced walls and you follow the instructions properly, but I didn’t want to take any chances so I bought some countersunk magnets from Amazon (https://amzn.eu/d/3rH73Z1) and attached them to the wall by screwing them into drilled wall anchors - 2 for my Medium HITMAN Displates (centre top and centre bottom) and 3 for my other Large Displates (2 top corners and 1 bottom centre) and I sleep easy knowing that these aren’t coming down under any circumstances. You’re probably okay with the Displate mounts but I wanted certainty so went the wall anchor route.

Enjoy if you do pull the trigger, they look sensational when they’re up!

3 tickets for the 25th anniversary screening of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.

Haven’t seen it in the cinema since 1999, I look forward to it. Might even get this awesome poster and frame it.
