Hitman 3. Pretty cool game, came out about a year ago. Been messing about with the ET arcade thing that came out last month, but really looking forward to this ‘Freelancer’ mode the devs teased a while back.

Played through Mafia: Definitive Edition (will give my thoughts on it in the dedicated thread) and finally got around to dive into the Yakuza series, starting with Y0. In Chapter 6 now and having an absolute blast. The story is entertaining, the acting great, the combat fun, and the side quests are hilarious. I totally suck at the minigames though lol.
Oh and absolutely laughed my arse off during the dominatrix side quest.

With pokemon legends arceus i got back into my pokemon craze by playing the original gen 8 games for the first time. Currently in motostoke with quite an extensive team. This game is very meh so far, but the visual style is decent and pokemon is still pokemon

I preordered the very delayed physical release of the GTA Trilogy “definitive” edition for Switch, and it only came out a few days ago. I just beat 3 and am a chunk of the way through Vice City in it.
Glad I waited since updates fixed the biggest issues. Still flawed, lazy, ect but at the end of the day I’ve been enjoying my time with these classics.
Been in a bad place mentally and these actually helped, as greedy as they are.

Well, I finally finished SMTV. Sunk over 70 hours into it, but I feel like I’d of halved that time if I knew what I was doing and was doing less faffing around. I dunno. I do think this is a great game, but it does feel bloated, alot of it due to the open world nature of it all. I want to try SMTIII and SMTIV now because I can’t help but wonder if my issues with this game would be alot less trying in those games where I believe they are dungeon crawlers. And the story is OK I guess, I got the “chaos” ending which was fine. Watched a couple of reviews, again, seems like it isn’t a patch on SMTIII and IV.
In terms of the news of the 3DS and WiiU online shops shutting, at some point I will definetly be getting the Atlus 3DS titles, probably physically ideally. Atlus did seem to love that system.
Big news in terms of SMT, Atlus is teasing something related to Soul Hackers, full news reveal on the 21st. Teaser website with some staticy screenshots. Sequel or remake of Soul Hackers or something else? Who knows. I know they ported Soul Hackers to the 3DS. Guess we’ll see if it is anything substantial.
Getting my Persona itch back, think I’m going to dive back into Persona 4 Golden and finally just finish that third semester. Good way to kill time til Gran Turismo 7 drops.

got my eldest a switch at christmas (well, santa did). it has been a minecraft/animal crossing machine ever since.
i have finally convinced my wife that buying breath of the wild is a sound investment. should be getting it next week so me and the eldest can fill the hole left by outer wilds.
not played it before, so looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. reckon an 8 year old girl will dig it…? she likes anime stuff (no, not akira. yet.) but is questioning why she can’t play as zelda.

@Screaming_Meat that’s cool to hear. Breath of the Wild is a great game, and I would recommend it to most Switch owners. I think the only thing to say is that the beginning on the game doesn’t hold your hand and that you start with very low health. You will die a bit but it also means that the game is really great for those who like to explore on their own and make their own discoveries. At the same time though, if you or your kid gets stuck, no harm looking up a guide to help in my opinion.
Well you can play as Zelda in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, the Dynasty Warriors-type game which is a prequel to Breath of the Wild. You can play as 2 different Zeldas in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
There are a few of us Switch owners in the Nintendo Thread. Happy to give out advice for games if you want it if you want to slowly build up a game collection for the Switch.
Also worth noting the Switch’s eshop is having a sale until the 20th on a few titles, might be worth looking into?

I still ask myself that question. Why the fuck is the series called Legend of Zelda when I am the one doing everything? It is like naming it The Tale of Lady Guinevere.

it is, they just don’t teach much about the uk’s colonial history in anything less than glowing terms (ask most people about the opium wars and they’ll assume it’s a gta chinatown sequel). in fact, you can now get in trouble for doing so.
i’m mixed race rather than straight up british, so i feel a little at arms length from all the flag waving bollocks.
