Cool. I never got past a few minutes into playing the original release. Of course, that was during a time when I was caught up in too many other similar games. Glad it’s a remaster and not a remake (dirty looks at you, Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4, and Silent Hill 2, and potentially Assassin’s Creed 1 and 4 remakes!).

Those two games really don’t need a remake. They still look and play great. Ubisoft shouldn’t meddle with what works.

It’s still early, but according to this trailer there will be more games to come. The 1st and 2nd had 10 games, so one might guess there will be at least 3 more games added.
With games like Rastan Saga and Cadash there is another game I’m expecting will be on there…

Edit: for people who don’t know or haven’t played.
NMRiH is a very hardcore, very unforgiving, and somewhat realistic depiction of Romero Zombie type of game.
The game has a mechanic where if you get bit, you’re infected. There are three options Gene Therapy which is a rare consumable that cures you, Zombrex like pills that quell the Infection for a bit, and if you’re desperate suicide.
The game is very bleak, but unironically very fun. You will die, but if you’re lucky enough to see the end of a maps campaign it’s all the more gratifying.
I highly recommend it especially since it’s Free, but just as a content warning children zombies are in the game and you’ll be put in circumstances of kill or be killed since they’re arguably the most dangerous zombie type in the game.

All things considered, it was a pretty solid showcase and outside of like two games everything looks solid in terms of announcements and gameplay footage.

Perfect Dark is a weird franchise…it’s only had one decent game (24 years ago!), but that one was so phenomonal and beautifully-crafted that it’s carried the franchise ever since. I’ll certainly be interested in getting the new one, but I’m not a fan of the parkour stuff in the trailer.
And I always laugh at how unimaginative the titles of the five games and remasters in the series are: you have Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Perfect Dark and, of course, Perfect Dark.
