Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

After countless hours on HBM, I still find new things out:

Mission: Curtains Down

If 47 is wearing a worker outfit, he can reach the basement by this way, but he must pass a frisk first (red cross). He can conceal a weapon inside a metallic toolbox.

I never use this path to reach the basement actually. I always use the other way (where a worker is painting a door), where there is no frisk.
Now, I understand the intel about concealment of object inside toolbox in this mission. I didn’t know that a frisk point is present in this map.

Mission: Murder of Crows

The VIP Jimmy Cilley doesn’t pass out when hit by the air rifle. I tried hitting the VIP with the air rifle, but he doesn’t pass out and stands up still, like a pillar of salt. However, his bodyguards are alerted as they saw 47 shooting at the politician.
Beside, hitting the politician with the air rifle doesn’t fail the mission.

Mission: Till Death Do Us Part

The Priest outfit gives access to the Gator gang and the graveyard. The priest outfit is very powerful on this map, giving you free access to big parts of the map. 47 can then reach John Leblanc when he is isolated in the graveyard.

Mission: Amemdment XXV

The Carpenter suit gives 47 access to the Vice-President’s office. It will be a way to reach one target w/o raising suspicion.

You can also “smuggle” related tools - a screwdriver, a nailgun, a hammer, as they are legal to openly carry as a worker too. Bloodied variants of the weapons won’t cut it though.
Same in AXXV, nailgun is a legal item for the carpenter and the bodyguard’s metal detector simply won’t react to it lol

I just had this funny realization that technically The Undying is the only mission in the entire franchise that has no less than 30 disguises which is the biggest amount of disguises ever. This is because The Finish Line has 29 disguises and The Undying adds the head researcher disguise (Timothy Yu) :no_mouth:

On my search for… whatever… I came across this. Wow. With 1.1 Million views I’m surprised this is the first time I’m ever hearing or knowing about it.

While I was making mockups of the challenges I made in the Challenge Ideas thread, I noticed how strangely detailed the description of the durian is compared to most of the items that only appear in missions. It makes me wonder if they originally planned (or maybe still plan) to have it be unlockable.

It would make for a good unlock for an escalation on Ambrose Island if they ever make one for it.

I sure hope so! It’s a bit OP but they gave us the Emetic Gas Grenade which works the same, so there’s certainly a chance.

Another element I’ve discovered in HBM that I’ve forgotten to add in my previous post:

Mission: A Dance with the Devil

47 (disguised as a hell guard) can rig the pyrotechnics openly, in front of targets or guards. It is not suspicious to sabotage the fire performance.
I’m so used to suspicion mechanics from the WoA (where such thing is automatically illegal) that I always waited that nobody was present to rig the show.

Damn… I remember getting spotted doing that. I might have been in Martinez’s disguise though, so maybe that’s the reason.

After watching a video, it sounds like you can legally rig the pyrotechnics with the Martinez’s disguise. So, it seems that sabotaging isn’t illegal at all with an allowed disguise. Moreover, 47 can openly carry a Desert Eagle while wearing the Martinez’s disguise w/o raising suspicion.

Did BloodMoney have the weapons have to match the costume rule? I thought that went away before BM

So I mean can’t Martinez carry any weapon?

Yes! In BM, the weapon must match with costume. For example, if 47 wears a FBI agent suit, he can carry a SLP40 openly without any trouble. If 47 unholsters another gun (like Silverballer), the other guards direclty turn bad and fire at 47.

I remember that in Martinez’s suit, 47 can carry the Desert Eagle, but not his Silverballer (guards fire at him in the latter case). I don’t know about other guns, e.g. SLP40.

The exception is the TDDUP level. 47 can carry openly any guns (till he doesn’t do anything illegal), the NPCs don’t react. But they becomes witnesses (ruining SA rating).

Wow! I gotta go play that again. I just have no memory of it. Maybe bc I usually don’t use firearms or if I do I just stay in my suit on easy mode and am goofing around.

I’d love to see that make a return with more force than just “no sniper rifle.”

Fun Fact: Rocco of “Get Down Here This Instant” fame shares his name (Italianised) with Saint Roch. Saint Roch’s invocations and patronage include plagues, epidemics, surgeons and apothecaries (Roch healed plague victims in North-Central Italy) which are all thematic references to WoT as a level, he is also a patron of dogs if you are a dog person.
