Nice, I figured since they’re all just whacked out dreams they weren’t concerned with having actual logic
Like Patrick Carlisle (he’s the only other example I can think of) Akka and Crest both have dynamic jackets that sway a bit if they get exploded or fall off a chair from poison. I assume some other targets must have this but I guess many targets in the trilogy are in formal wear
Hitman: Blood Money. “You Better Watch Out” mission.
So disguises on this level are broken lol. VIP guest - not only you’re allowed in the VIP area, but also surprisingly in all the staff rooms including the security room, basically everywhere except the studio and the helipad. Santa - same. The photographer - same + the studio. Waiter - allowed everywhere including Havilland’s private room and the helipad.
Another thing is that there are some unexpected frisks; firstly, you’ll be frisked at the entrance to the VIP area as a photographer or a waiter, but other disguises including Santa and VIP guest won’t be frisked. Guards at the elevator to the studio will frisk you only if you’re a waiter. A guard at the helipad will frisk you even if you’re wearing a bodyguard disguise.
Last but not least - some guards on the level carry TMPs, but you as a bodyguard can’t have one, and even civilians know that and will become witnesses
Edit: okay disregard the TMP part - apparently the standard issue “SLP 40” handgun is illegal to hold in the guard disguise too
Now I remember that on some of the levels you’re allowed to openly carry the “issued” firearms as a guard and on some others you’re not. Gotta look into that
@Yacob Imho you should be kicked out of the surveillance room in any disguise except the bodyguard’s one. They don’t mind you here at all unless you’re wearing the signature suit! (or the ordinary guest disguise which is useless and hard to obtain)
The photographer may not be broken. Same with Santa although it’s less likely. The VIP guest permission and the frisk stuff is crazy though.
I always thought it was strange being frisked to get out to the chopper, but I must have never tried going up to the non party areas as a VIP guest. It’s funny I have played that level at least 100 times and clearly still have things I haven’t tried.
If you trust your employees then they can be in the security room. Maybe he’s the only photographer ever bc Lorne is a lunatic and doesn’t trust anyone else Plus isn’t it set up such that you must walk through that room to get to/from the chopper? << I know that’s a stretch but it’s not impossible.
You can climb in and out of the window in the hippie’s apartment. There’s also a ledge on the outside to walk on and hang off of but I’m not sure why.
Oh yeah, I’ve pulled him out that window to his death many a time, and have even shot him while standing on the ledge outside.
I guess I never really saw much need to interact with the hippie or his apartment much. I had no idea!
Trying standing outside it and pulling him through, or aiming a pistol in at him when he approaches. It’s hilarious to witness either one.
Pretty sure you can parkour all the way down to the window on the corridor which makes it a shortcut I guess
In Blood Money, hand-held metal detectors used by guards during frisks don’t actually detect metal, but only illegal weaponry instead. Let me elaborate with a couple of examples.
Curtains Down
In Curtains Down, you can disguise yourself as a worker and safely carry a hammer, a screwdriver, a nail gun. You can hold them in your hands without getting compromised, and if you get frisked at one of the entrances to the basement, the detector simply won’t react to any of these three weapons. However, if you get blood on the melee weapons, they become illegal to hold and illegal to have during the frisk - the cop will suggest (silently, as it seems no lines were recorded in French for this case) you hand them over. After you give up the bloodied weapons you’ll be cleared to go in.
Death on the Mississippi
In Death on the Mississippi, you can get frisked if you’re wearing the guard/sailor disguise. As the Snub Nosed revolver is the standard issue weapon for the sailors you can openly carry it and have during such a frisk; the metal detectors will simply ignore this particular gun, but not any others, like a Silverballer.
Now, where does one get frisked as a guard? Firstly, you will be frisked when you approach the VIP area; curiously you’ll be frisked only as a sailor, because if you have the VIP steward disguise, or the signature suit or a tuxedo with the VIP invitation, they simply let you in. Secondly, you can use a certain glitch and get frisked by a Gator at their den. The way the glitch works is that you can be frisked while trespassing and be let in even further in the restricted area if you sneak up on the frisk guard before they notice you trespassing.
Amendment XXV
In Amendment XXV you’ll be frisked if you’re wearing a worker outfit before entering the office with Vice President. You can legally carry a nailgun.
You Better Watch Out
In You Better Watch Out, as a bodyguard you’re not allowed to openly carry even the standard issue handgun and you’re not allowed to have one during the frisk on the helipad either. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but at least it also follows the pattern “Allowed to carry openly = allowed to have during a frisk/not detected during a frisk”
What a trash game, 0/10
It’s a shortcut to reach without being detected the CCTV recorder in the city hall. If you climb the stairs, there are CCTV.
To avoid them, you can climb the pipe by the door where you get the freezers. You reach Bravuomo’s office by the toilet. You next pass through the office and reach the small “bridge” where you have a window. You next climb to the hippie’s appartment and next reach the CCTV recorder without being spotted.
The main square (especially the cameras inside it) are so superfluous to most Sapienza missions, I had absolutely no clue! There’s so little reason to go there and you can also avoid the cameras by just starting in the main square tower, I wonder what made IO justify that shortcut’s existence…
I never realized you could get up on top of that bridge or that there were ledges outside the Hippie’s window. That side of the office never appealed to me to explore I guess. It was easier to get upstairs via the pipe in the alley/through the law office lobby/up the front side.
Same.
20randomhippieledges
Apart from Landslide, they had another side missions with the Caruso brothers involving the lawyer’s office and the hippie’s apartment, could be the reason why
James Gunn once wanted to make a Hitman movie!!
A Hitman movie surely is something hard to pull off, but if Gunn was at the helm I’m sure it’d have some great style to it!
James gunn specializes in comedy with characters that are truly deeply broken, he wouldve been a perfect fit for woa hitman
