Didn’t they not really know who he was, other than someone who was squeamish about collateral damage, or am I thinking of Colorado?
You’re thinking correctly. It was NZ.
It’s Diana. She comments when 47 accesses the laptop that they likely don’t even know who they’re working for.
I just noticed in the striker escalation from HITMAN GOTY there is this sign to depict who is a tresspasser of your room.
Welp, something I just found out the hard way… if you play on Master mode, the optional objectives aren’t so optional! Chongqing was gonna be so easy to Master SA/SO
Even in the other starting locations? I thought the dumb ending was tied to the train station start only.
Ohhhhhh, Ignore me; I happened to do default starting location cos it was closest to the sniper spot
There’s no more challenges for Master difficulty unless I’m missing something
Hi @Kevin_Rudd good to see you mate
I’ve tried the Drones mission story twice on Master now and both times it appears to have been modified so Olivia cannot hack the comms (therefore you cannot listen into the conversations). I’m pretty sure this is an intentional thing, I suppose in a way it’s a nice touch that the Mission Story itself has been made harder
Howdy
Have you played with mission stories on or off? Cause this one is apparently bugged (at least on Pro) and Olivia only hacks in if the stories are on.
Mission Stories Guidance is set to off in Master mode, you have no choice
Well, I understand they probably wanted to make the agent´s rifle feel like a more powerful custom version, but at least they could´ve adjusted the name and perks for it then
In that case it´s probably the same persistent bug rather than intended design… Or it is indeed intended for Master and overlooked on Pro. But I think the story-related dialogues and interactions should play out the same no matter the difficulty and settings. Considering that the tour story is also bugged, this could be the case as well…
It’s odd, I don’t know if it’s what she normally says anyway, but when I did the Mission Story in Master the first time Olivia said something along the lines of “Damn, it’s all superficial networking, I can’t use it, sorry 47”. By the time she finished that line I’d already shot the other drones down, I’m not sure if she was going to say “Shoot down more drones to help me” but I was too fast, or if in Master mode she indeed simply cannot hack it.
Second time in Master mode I waited after the initial scan so I wasn’t cutting her off, and she didn’t say anything at all
Both times I was unable to hear the comms, but the targets still did everything and I could see they were talking on phone
I think she normally says the thing about the superficial networking, then asks you to shoot the drones. So first time you were probably just too fast.
Second time I´m willing to bet it was a bug, cause the first time I played the mission (Pro, MS off) and scanned the drone (without shooting the others), nothing happened (I only found out after turning MS on that indeed something is supposed to happen, specifically Olivia talking). And at one point when I loaded a save made during the targets´ meeting, I couldn´t hear their conversation at all.
So I think the whole thing is probably bugged…
Just realized this escalation is now the easiest one ever, the last time I played it was in H2016 when you’d lose “never spotted” even if the only ones who spotted you were targets.
I did this multible times in Master Mode and everything works fine (Suit Only, Silent Sniper Assassin, No KO, Double Headshot).
Maybe you did something different? This is what i did:
Summary
Start at River side walkway
Go to washmachine shop
Enter Code, go up to the guard with rifle
Steal rifle
Go on top of the roof
Shoot the five drones
hide under the stairscase (the one to get to the top)
Wait for guard’s call (from royce) to check the roof
when they go up i follow them
sneaking around to not getting seen
one guard takes the destroyed drone, both leave the top of the roof
shoot the two extra drones (they appear after the guards checked the roof)
Wait for the targets meeting
doubleheadshot after hush did his “complain-body language”
distract the guards
exit via rooftop door
Edit: The triggers for this event are identical in all Difficulty Modes:
Shoot 5 drones->Wait for guards to check the roof->shot the 2 extra drones->Meeting
There is no need to scan the destroyed drone
I came from side gate to roof cos I don’t know door code, took my own rifle with me, scanned the destroyed drone on roof (50% *chance Olivia says something after scan), then if I wait she says nothing and if I shoot the drones she also says nothing, either way she doesn’t hack the comms
Might be bugged in therms of olivia’s dialouge. But scanning the drone isn’t neccessary for the drone story mission triggers. Scanning the drone does only give you the opportunity to spy/listen to the communication between royce and street guards?
This is how i understand it:
Royce is stalking on Hush with her drones. When you shoot all five, she calls hush to stop destroying them. After that she call the street guards to check the roof. They find the destroyed drone and take the chip from it. Meanwhile Royce sends out two new drones. When you destroy them too, she calls hush for a personal meeting (cause she thinks he destroyed the drones).
Yes, that’s what I said
