The Safehouse Thread

More importantly can you die in the safehouse, I mean you can fire guns and have explosives at least stored openly. What happens when a player shoots an explosive, do they die and at they very least is the explosive wasted?

Also if I drop an item on the floor of my safehouse, does it despawn because it’s not technically “stored”

I wonder how much will actually go on in the safehouse beyond target practice, decorating and preparing for the freelancer mode. Perhaps occasional attacks like in the wrath dlc or some other event or activity. If the place is that simple, I’ll probably spend less time there than I did in the yacht tutorial level.

In your world, is it permitted for Agent 47 (aka Gary) to run around his own house?

Nobody’s there to notice. What if he feels like getting from point A to point B real quick? Maybe he jogs a bit in his pad. We’ve all done it right? (Even if it’s in a much smaller apartment.)

Curious.

Also, can he freely wear gloveless outfits in his own home? Hmm.

Edit: I guess if he’s not touching anything he’ll be taking into the field, he can go gloveless. Otherwise all equipment much be kept spotless. Ah! What have I become?!

I’m pleasantly surprised by the kind of customisation the safehouse seems to have. I thought it was going to be room by room, but it seems to be even more on details. With clusters of furnitures, decorations. Unless it’s an animation when selected. I am genuinely hyped.

I do hope for a Victoria easter egg cosmetic.

I already was half-playing hitman as a dollhouse/sims/etc with all the suits, and blending spots. It seems that I will be able to go further on that.

I do wonder if we will have gameplay influencing amenities. The trailer does say “and more”. I’m thinking, something like a lab to either always have a dose of poison waiting to be picked up in the safehouse, or allows to create them with rat poison the player would bring back.

I also wonder if the passing of time we are able to see in the trailer when they showcased the options is present in game, or just an additional touch for the trailer / when selected.

Finally, a small detail I just saw : the camera feed goes from day to night. It’s a nice detail.

A Victoria reference would actually be really nice, the safehouse definitely took inspiration somewhat from Diana’s mansion in absolution. But with how that game is effectively the black sheep of the franchise, I doubt she will ever be mentioned again.

That influencing amenities feature does sound cool and like something you would want in the safehouse. Perhaps we could also be able to somewhat craft our own explosives as well (like with what we saw in Ambrose). More stuff like that would be heavily appreciated.

It’s not my world, it’s the world 47 lives in.

He wouldn’t run, except on a treadmill or on a path around the property. Unless, his house was under attack, a la Wrath, but that’s all.

I’m going to fill it up with modded furnishings. 47 with a neco arc statue, a bodypillow, and a poster of the jam image.

I hope there’ll be a music player somewhere. Interacting will zoom into it then show a list of (most of) the music files in the game. Or maybe a portable radio you can pick up, set down, then play whatever wherever. And it shouldn’t be a localized sound like coming from a small speaker, it should be like it were the level music surrounding you in auditory bliss.

I want to place several banana peels near the front door(as a booby trap). can never be too careful. simply keeping the “safe” in safehouse.

Unironically I could see an upgrade (kitchen, pantry room, or even garden) allowing a banana to always be available to the player.

Considering all the random, fairly meaningless stuff the trailer showed 47 doing (idling in a car, sitting in an airport, walking a forest path), I would not be surprised if we get things like this. I mean, why have the safehouse decorated needlessly at all if there wasn’t some manner of interaction. Straightening a tilted picture frame on the wall would do, for goodness sake.

I’m thinking about weapon display cases. There’re limited space, and silhouettes for every weapon. But we all know that in files, there’re quite a bunch of guns ready to release (like these: https://www.hitmanforum.com/t/leaked-items-suits-megathread/10076/239). Is this mean that some weapons aren’t present or excluded from the mode? Or all guns released after Freelancer, won’t be featured in game mode?

I would answer: it depends. I can see there a Bartoli Woodsman Hunting Rifle (case on the left, on the very top), with big-ass silencer, and [REDACTED]
But there’re more “strange” things, that will reveal itself later, surely…

Also I hope theres a bathroom and rubber duck in it

Please keep information about unknown, leaked, and datamined items in the leaks section for people who don’t want that stuff spoiled please.

However to answer some of your questions, we did see a new pistol “the concrete bunny pistol” (an item that was temporarily added in by accident for console players a few months ago) within the safe house when the guns section was shown as full.

What the safe house storage system currently means for the progression system of the wider campaign is currently unknown. I’m assuming that some items will have some kind of blend where some are available exclusively in freelancer, while others are available for the wider game.
