Was a really fun update! Haven’t gotten to the missions where you play as Franklin and Lamar though.
Ah yes the brand new “Fuck With Dre Day” DLC
It’s hit or miss on when the player gets it. You have to beat the Dre Portion of the DLC and then you get a call from Franklin about touring the studio. The issue is though that people aren’t getting the call even after a hour of playing.
But I agree this is arguably one of the best content updates for GTA Online since it added a lot of quality of life changes too alongside a actual passive income that has better pay outs depending on how many agency missions you do with it maxing at 50K per day with something like the nightclub doing 10K per day at max occupancy.
For owners of the Definitive Edition
For PC only as well. Console owners can just go fuck themselves it seems.
Ah, the IO Interactive Approach when it comes to the best Hitman Game!
Nothing but smart business decisions! But hey at least Contracts is a good remaster of Codename, same can’t be said of the Definitive Edition.
So anyone gonna bring up how Rockstar is now acknowledging events from the 3D Era now in the most recent update making it completely possible that it’s all in one universe now?
Like it’s not tongue and cheek now it’s Franklin bringing up the weed farm mission in GTA San Andreas and Security talking about OG Loc and Madd Dog.
As unfortunate as it is, this is through Rockstar’s launcher and store. This isn’t any different than the offerings Xbox has through their store or the free games with Games with Gold (or the PlayStation equivalent). Or Epic having free games on their launcher. They are simply rewarding players using their platform.
It does suck though, I would prefer a more streamlining approach to gaming and curation. But everyone wants their piece of the pie, and gamers (and certain companies) will throw out “Monopoly!” as well.
I too know plenty of references and recurring characters were across both universes, like Lazlow, Jack Howitzer, and Fernando Martinez. It’s just that I think the 3D universe thingy that The Contract updated added serve more like an Easter Egg rather than being in the same continuity of the HD one.
The cities themselves were pretty different between 3D and HD. Like for instance, both versions of LC features same named districts like Francis International Airport, but one’s parody of Time Square was named Bedford Point, the other was Star Junction. Surely there can be some name changing, but the layouts of Liberty City were very different as well.
Well regardless, they are all good references to the old games. I like them too and enjoy the story aspect of The Contract pretty much.
@MrOchoa It’s here!
For Xbox Players and maybe everyone else, DONT do the San Fierro Arena Mission. While you can complete it, it effectively makes the game unplayable since every-time you save or step into a red marker it crashes your game.
There was a typo, fixed it for ya
One more update hopefully makes it worth while. They are fun, but they aren’t in a good state.
I finished all 3 games in the Trilogy Definite Edition on Nintendo Switch.
I hate how evil Rockstar have been and don’t want to be a bootlicker to them, but despite many issues I had an enjoyable time with this flawed game now that it’s patched.
Will be covering VC and SA soon.
New patch will be releasing next week too btw.
Yay. I’m hoping it will fix my San Andreas save crashing every time I try to load it. I was too far in that I’ve refused to just start all over again.
If it’s from the stadium mission in San Fierro you have to load your save from the load save menu not continue.
