I’m working on improving my Silent Assassin rating and I’d love to hear from others who’ve mastered this playstyle. Specifically, I’m struggling with a few missions where staying undetected is particularly challenging.

Issue: What are your top strategies for achieving the Silent Assassin rating? Are there specific techniques, tools, or approaches that you find particularly effective? How do you handle situations where multiple NPCs are in close proximity or when you need to make quick decisions?

  • Be patient
  • Know the routines of (almost) every NPC
  • Hide all the bodies
  • Prioritize accidents for public assassinations
  • Easily isolate targets with emetics
  • Find the way out before completing the mission
  • Erase the cameras
  • Don’t take out your weapons until the last moment
  • (Use instinct, the mini-map and stay away from the enforcers)

Speed, map knowledge and tranquillisers are SA’s best friends. And in general, play a lot, watch a lot of videos, learn from speedrunners their moves, tricks and glitches.

A couple of tips. Use the emetic device in a briefcase for poisoning targets or npc easily. You can even carry the briefcase when activating the device because 47 is immune. Also to ignite a propane tank you can put near it a briefcase with the breaching explosive inside.
