I thought it was in Sapienza too.
So Wrath is basically HITMAN: Horde Mode….

Oh my God!This looks amazing!A spooky version of Dartmoor is the perfect gift for Halloween! When there were discussions about bonus missions earlier this year,a Halloween version for Dartmoor was one of my wishes,so I’m really happy that I am getting it(even though it is technically not a bonus mission, but I don’t really care to be honest).IOI really wants me to love Dartmoor even more than I already did.I have to buy this sin instantly.
A small tip for anyone who like me are more into slow play and plan making.
If you knock out one of the target and eliminate the rest, you will have all the time in the world to explore, find items and plan. The only way to continue on, to start the next wave will be on your initiative and a neck snap away.
Here it gave me all the time to loot the sniper rifle, inspect the items proposed by the second level of the escalation and prepare all traps and distractions before the second wave.
It’s another kind of fun compared to the usual rush, but personally I prefer it.
That’s awesome. Speedrunning escalations isn’t that much fun anyway.
Really enjoyed this one and really set good combat level by focusing more on Guerrilla Warfare which quite rare for a games to do well. Keeping 47 under-powered at first but relying on the environment and sneak attacks which build up the arsenal overtime. Quite well thought out. and the manor has quite the haunting vibe to it.
Also I don’t think IOI should of went for the Bond License anymore, feels like Home Alone game is where it’s at after this.
A really fun escalation to end the sin collection, though it’s quite easy. The enemies don’t have many routes to choose from if they want to get upstairs, even the final ones die after a few bullets and you always get SA if you kill everyone. Still, it’s fun to set traps and perform stealthy kills like you were the ghost of the manor. There are surely many ways to do this and thus this is my favorite sin of them all.
Uh i hate wrath. Not my style of playing at all. Was looking forward to it, as it looked really cool and the concept sounded promising enough as well but actually playing it only creates the feeling of wanting to be done with it asap.
I thought it was pretty disappointing too. The games were designed around stealth, so naturally combat gameplay isn’t quite as fine-tuned. For me, the escalation just showcased some of those awkward edges of the game’s combat mechanics. The map looks fantastic though
I haven’t played it yet but I can already see what you mean. The combat mechanics are horrific.
Compare it to another stealth game… say SC Blacklist. Those stealth kills and takedowns were pretty impressive.
I’m putting this one in the same category I put Gluttony - I like the idea, but execution is a bit… meh.
Being able to just slaughter everyone and still get SA takes away a lot of the challenge. Plus after a couple of attempts, you can quickly figure out the order people from each direction will arrive, so you can easily just slaughter each group in quick succession and be done and in place before the next group arrives to the house.
I have yet to play Blacklist but I’ve never understood why HITMAN’s combat mechanics are generally considered bad. I’ve always enjoyed them and still do.
PM sent IRT Blacklist.
But not derailing, don’t forget HITMAN 2 toned down/changed the HTH combat mechanics…
Ugh I miss this one lol.
True, the hand-to-hand combat could be better. I was thinking more of the gunplay than that because I like how the NPC:s react to getting shot. In close combat I prefer using weapons, especially axes.
I played this in VR and loved the experience! After numerous attempts, I still haven’t even beat Wave 3 on the first level!!
In VR, there’s no mini map and a minimal Instinct, so it definitely feels like you’re pinned down.
This is my favorite of the 7DS and definitely the toughest!
I just realized a little detail in the Roar Flash Grenade… The red base of the figurine is shaped like an open bear trap. Sweet.
I’m wondering if you can kill your clone yourself
This is certainly good to hear, though I´m surprised they didn´t make a bigger magazine to reflect that (and I´m still hoping they replace the standard Shashka unlocked in Colombia mastery with the gold-plated one at some point).
Well, from the looks of it this escalation probably found some inspiration in the Skyfall finale, no?
Played it for about 3 hours tonight. 5am now. Bedtime.
It was underwhelming.
The traps were okay but too much work to set up for only ONE kill. Sometimes you could get lucky tossing a coin and get a double kill but I had more luck with a car battery + propane flask.
By the last hour and replay of level 1-3 I ran into Alexa’s office and started the wave to start the lethal item melee and throwing frenzy.
If anyone has a better strategy for getting sub 11min runs without relying on the throwing/melee + grab item off dead body routine I’d love to know it.
Shotgun is good for 10 shells. It doesn’t disregard physics like a lethal item lock-on to a running target
The suit is pretty good.
Bear device is useful.
The rifle with that mag capacity is great.
The escalation is monotonous and tiresome IMHO.
A kill everyone modded contract is a lot more enjoyable as much as I hate to say it.
Dartmoor at night is beautiful and the mansion was almost as impressive as the exterior.
I’ve only managed to complete the first level of this and it’s fucking exhausting. I had to repeat it at least 8 times to finish it. I really am not a fan of this. At all.
Huh? You can still play stealth. I did the first level all stealth (didn’t play level 2 or 3. Didn’t have time). But I got 4 star (no SA cuz bodies found) but never got spotted when killing every npc for those first few waves.
