Dagger, Will Robinson, dagger!

I just unlocked the Tropical Islander suit, the Trendy Tourist suit, and the Patient 47 suit.

The Tropical Islander suit is weird in that itā€™s the only suit we have that feature shorts.
Iā€™m not used to seeing 47ā€™s bare legs like that! :joy:

The Patient 47 suit was fun to unlock because I got to use the Tactical Polar Gear in the one snow-ish-themed map. Itā€™s cool seeing 47 scale up to the helipad with it on, really feels like a covert infiltration.
The bright afternoon sky makes the suit really shine against the snowy backdrop too, as I let a whole bunch of NPCs get infected just so I could rampage in with the Iceballer (also a good match) running through the hallsā€¦

Whatā€™s neat about the Patient suit is that 47 isnā€™t wearing anything on his feet, and itā€™s a nice detail Iā€™ve never noticed that the sound of his footsteps are different.
Lots more slapping of barefeet on the ground rather than clacking of business shoes.

There is some reasoning to this, but it isnā€™t consistent. If I go into it too much, youā€™ll easily poke holes in it. With that said, everytime we release content (letā€™s call that a ā€˜deployā€™) it takes time from a bunch of teams, including QA, Release, Online, etc. So, weā€™ve been looking at ways to reduce the amount of deploys per month, which will in turn give more time to the work going into updates and patches (among other things). A good example of this is that youā€™ll see some future ETā€™s getting ā€˜deployedā€™ with a long countdown on them. Then, we can do two at once, essentially. I hope that makes sense.

Another thing that we consider is to front-load the monthly content. It doesnā€™t always work out that way, but if we are going to have an ā€˜empty weekā€™, then we will put more at the front of the month compared to the end.

Ha!
All credit for this description goes to one of the writers (I donā€™t know off-hand who did this one!). As much as I can remember, Iā€™ve only done the full descriptions and names for the Anniversary Pack suits, the one you get for maknig an IOI Account. Iā€™ve done some of the challenge ideas too, which Iā€™m pretty happy about.

Yes! I love this and there is more to come. I will wait until saying more but Iā€™m really pleased to see this feedback.

Iā€™m really pleased to see that there is a lot of love for this suit. I saw this suggested in the Unlocks Wishlist thread quite a while ago and itā€™s been on the list since.

Ah. That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Oh jeez, Clem is out of the house and we are back to merciless hyping from Travis again! :joy:

Ooooh, good to know that can actively influence some decisions. Thereā€™s a couple other unlocks in that request list that I hope are in the lineup someday.

I have reclaimed the hype throne, and mercy is not something that I stand for

Iā€™m fairly sure that if you cross-reference the unlocks in that thread from about a year ago, thereā€™s a decently strong correlation.

We would expect no less from the very company that gave us Agent 47.

Heisenberg proceeds to flood the wishlist with, of all things, requests for more gloves.

Edit: Fine, I will accept a ā€œglove toggleā€ button.

Some joker put down Tactical Turtleneck with Gloves over 1000 times on the wish list! Meh, letā€™s do another pistol!

Frankly, Iā€™d be satisfied with just one particular suit with gloves added. See @schatenjagerā€™s post above.

Letā€™s not forget the perennial ā€œMicro Proximity Taser (now confirmed as a thing in Freelancer, and just begging to be made available in the main Story game modes) unlock so that scat can finally do his dream roleplaying run in World Of Tomorrowā€ request thatā€™s number 1 on every Hitman fanā€™s list, while weā€™re doing bucket listsā€¦

Huh? What the heck you talking about?

If you end up getting the tactleneck with gloves as an unlock itā€™s only fair if I get the Micro Proximity Taser (wished for by me for ages, now introduced in Freelancer but not available in other game modes) as an unlock too. Everyoneā€™s happy.

I meant regarding the scenario that you said everyoneā€™s dreamed of using it for. Iā€™ve got no clue what youā€™re describing.

Itā€™s just me that cares about it for one particular role-playing run, specifically on World Of Tomorrow. Iā€™ve always wanted to do a SASONKO, Accidents Only, Walking Only run where all the objectives are completed whilst 47 is sat on the bench in the town square, in full view of the two Mansion Guards on the front gate of the Villa Caruso.

You sneak in, get the Virus Sample hidden in the model ship and throw that on the metal stairs that Franny descends in the Bio Lab when she heads down there after the virus is destroyed. Leave the EMP Device hidden by the virus remote kill switch. Prepare a leaking propane tank left by the Observatory telescope for Silvio and ideally put a Micro Proximity Taser next to it (the larger standard Proximity Taser will do the job if placed on the side of the telescopeā€™s viewing lens as for some reason that doesnā€™t look right visually Silvio wonā€™t see it and call the guards, but a proper Micro version would be so much more immersive.)

Extract from the Mansion, shoot the control panel on the outside of the Obervatory (from the balcony of the empty Mansion Guard apartment below 47ā€™s own safehouse apartment); take a stroll to the town square bench and detonate the EMP; and then blend in as the rest of the objectives complete themselves. In my head canon when the Ether debrief happens after the events of the mission, the guards at the front of the Mansion provide an alibi for 47 (who they just remember as a random bald dude), noting that he was sat there in front of them whilst everything went down so he couldnā€™t have been involved. My role-playing perfect mission, right there.

You had me right up until you mentioned shooting the control panel on the telescope. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s another way to arrange things. Maybe leave it near the place he goes to in his private lab, but give yourself enough time to get back to the bench by saving the last thing as timing the lunch bell, creating enough delay before he does anything else to let you get back to the bench. Still, a phenomenal idea, if that proximity micro could indeed be unlocked for main campaign.

Wait, you can just throw that vial in an area sheā€™ll eventually walk, and the vapor will just stay in the air indefinitely until she strolls through?

Iā€™ve used that kill method like once ever, so forgive my ignorance.

Yes indeedy. :grinning:
