Freelancer has a golden shotgun too, and 7DS’s Gluttony escalation also rewards you with a golden shotgun, though I must stress the designs of both are genuinely different.

Looking at the roadmap again, it seems that starting from last week with The Heartbreaker there will be an active ET in the game every single week up until June at least. If this is something IO is planning to continue beyond this roadmap, there is still enough weeks in the year for them to eventually activate every ET in 2024 (excluding The Wildcard and the original The Congressman and The Guru ETs)…

The Golden Sawed-Off also has a unique effect where gold (I think paper?) shoots out when you fire it.

In this comparison, the Golden sawed off looks more bronze than gold.

Here’s the maximalist by comparison.
Yeah, the gold looks a lot closer now, albeit with the specular levels being tweaked.
Honestly, If you like the brown/ gold better, good for you. Personally, I just want the brown handle and grip, but black detailing on the side.

Yeah that’s probably what they were going for. Honestly the closest thing they remind me of are the gold papers people had to collect in the Crystal Dome on the British game show The Crystal Maze.

When is the game update supposed to happen ? It has to be before the Twitch drop because the rubber duck is still not in the files.
I would love The Undying, The Drop and The Fixer but i think it’s going to be Undying then some other ET then Undying Returns because of the name Oroborous is basically two circles with something else in the middle

I just wish all the current ducks and future ones, like the upcoming purple duck, were usable in Freelancer.

The game will have non-stop, overlapping Elusive Targets almost all the time for the next few months.
Except at the 19-21 March, and a few other days just after the Undying ends.
So I would guess then, it would coincide with the start of the roadmap content. (first FC batch the 21st, Undying and twitch drop the 22nd)
(mind you, it might not be a patch, but “just” a maintenance/data update)
