I feel like this dispute could be solved by bringing BigMooney06 back for a larger collaboration. Could revitalize his channel and bring him back into the spotlight.
now THAT would be epic
Either way, the fact this conversation is happening shows that IO shouldn’t have worked with him.
Like him or not, its clear he is now quite a polarising person to collab with (otherwise, this topic wouldn’t exist) - and when IO has the goal of broadening Hitman’s appeal, working with people like McGregor or atrioc isn’t going to help out with that as you’ll instantly turn some people away just because of the association with them.
And to the greater point @thrison was making earlier, and numerous others have made, a simple background check or even asking a few vaguely uncomfortable questions could have clued IOI in to potential bad publicity though association and got them to reconsider and avoid it altogether. In today’s world of constant and instant communication and information, it’s quickly reaching a point where ignorance truly will be no excuse.
Speaking of Mooney, has he been posting anywhere recently? I only ever check his YT when I feel like it, and he hasn´t been active there for the better part of this year…
Mental health issues, he’ll be back according to his patreon
Ah, that’s unfortunate… Hopefully it won’t be AuzzieGamer 2.0…
Well, I certainly agree that they shouldn’t have worked with McGregor. That was just plain stupid, given what everyone knew long before the trail.
But putting someone like Atrioc in the same basket does not sit right with me. And even if it might be problematic to a certain segment of internet people, showing more nuance and carefully deciphering through these kinds of cases on an individual basis is not only more courageous - it’s the right thing to do. Even if it would cause a net monetary loss for IO (which I doubt, given the amount of eyes Atrioc directs to the game), but some things should be more important than money.
I just don’t think someone like him should be locked out for eternity. He had his punishment and he did a lot to atone for what he did. There has to be a way back from that.
Atrioc, reading between the lines a little, to me seemed like he didnt outright mention it but from my memory of the incident he came across as someone who had or has a MAJOR porn addiction. He never admitted it directly but to me that reading of the situation suddenly made a lot of sense why he did the heinous things he did, because porn addiction is as destructive as any other addiction and isnt treated seriously at all
I wish the Purple Gun were all purple.
Didn’t the Red Trinity used to be all red? The handle is black. I could have sworn it used to be all red…
The White Trinity is all white.
Anyway, here’s dessert:
nah i remember red trinity always having that black handle. i actually really like the black handle for breaking up the colors a bit
Help, I am in an abusive relationship with a game.
Subscibedt to Mungadungalis. Currently doing the Featured Contract batch.
I think I recognized some names in in the chat. Street Surgeon, Ozzygrl…
I got the suit for free by linking someone else’s IO account to my platform account for a little bit.
Apparently they’ve been sharing their account with lots of people, to dilute the significance of that one sub as much as possible.
I take back everything I said about Conor McGregor being the worst voice actor in the game. Van Damme has him beat by a country mile. Holy mon dieu! I do not remember him being this bad. Rose-colored glasses and all that.
I think his voice acting is hilarious. It has to be consciously over-the-top? When I grew up, Van Damme was an actor that you’d mention with a smile. He was kind of a joke. An endearing, entertaining one. I mean… The tight outfits. The ego of the character believing he is the best in the world. There’s a lot of tongue in cheek going on with his character, and good on Van Damme for not taking himself too seriously.
From the cloning plot, to the outfits, to Valiant laugh and the clones barks.
It’s 100% intentional.
And I love it.
Sure WoA is a post-Snowden/post-occupy thriller. But the Franchise as a whole? Born in the 90s, John Woo, and all the other action movies of the period.
It’s good to see it back a bit.
Touché.
I have the ‘You look like a carrot’ voiceline in my head all the time now when I’m imagining walking past his Clones.
