obviously not! (no patch notes this time though)
Too little too late tbh.
The promise of 24 hours notice minimum is broken, as well as a line of other promises made in the communication thread earlier in the year. Proving they give absolutely zero fucks - while trying to pretend that everything is just peachy and asking for highlights of the year to feature in the livestream.
Combatglue has had enough chances and continues to prove that he is terrible at managing the community at every turn. I can no longer take his word on anything he says going forward - and for him being in the role of Community Manager, that’s not good.
Agreed, he basically ignored my post regarding the lack of communication for previous ET.
Full roadmap drop tomorrow incoming!!
Posting this well-past operating hours, and decidedly less than 24 hours to go is a massive blunder. No way to get around that.
It’s as if they’d forgotten, or worse, didn’t know until 30 minutes earlier than us. I don’t share @thrison 's cynicism or pitchfork grabbing mentality, but I absolutely feel their unhappiness and anger at the situation.
No patch notes either…oh well. God forbid I have some assurance as to what’s coming in this patch outside of DLC promotions.
Do better IO. Please, your silence is absolutely defening us all.
Roadmap and patch notes should be available 2 to 3 days before the update/maintenance. It’s a very reasonable request, not sure how you can’t seem to do that.
I’m just sad and tired.
@Combatglue why!?
(@Marchouette sorry for the collateral, but it’s technically feedback)
Just a small amount of care toward the coin release would have enhanced the whole gameplay.
One cosmetic, one pickup.
Now it’s just drowned among the loot.
I’m out.
Why do I care about a game that just don’t.
Catering to influencers, silly suits and silly/bad items.
Just wanted some serious suits and items. The core aestetic of the game I liked.
The Solstice Suit was one challenge away, 10 minutes to implement. Less than Frote7 wedding cake you took the care to make. Antlers and (purple) robe.
Sick of it, it feels like I’m metaphorically pissed on while asking for my wallet every three months.
Asking me for the pleasure, the privilege of paying influencers to receive the bad content.
(unless its all unannounced challenges in the roadmap, in which case thanks, but right now I’m going from what was communicated)
Year 4 is a wash. And I don’t see any indicator of better for Year 5.
I’m usually constructive, patient, wilful, highlighting the positive and what the devs do, and never used profanity, You know me by now.
But that’s just too much.
I’m out for the time being.
At least answer this one question: are we going to see serious suits and items arriving next year?
Don’t need to be precise, just communicate this.
Please.
I’m sincerely begging.
Live now with drops enabled for those who want the purple baller pistol!
Thank God the subscription suit is so ugly🤗 It means I won’t be missing much…
I have no problem with buying cosmetic DLCs to support my favourite game but I won’t be subscribing to a streamer. Why? Because I don’t watch any streamers, I play the game myself. It is not about the money, for me it’s like…I don’t know…buying cigarettes… I don’t smoke so I don’t buy cigarettes. I don’t watch streamers so I won’t be buying any subscription. Because I don’t need it. And no purple garbage item will change my mind.
Normal Twitch drops were already a stupid thing to begin with but at least I can play the stream, mute my computer, walk away for an hour and claim my “prize”. That’s how I do it, because I don’t use Twitch, only for Hitman drops. But subscribing to a streamer? No reason for me, sorry IOI.
It is a weird marketing decision…
Hey everyone, I have updated the main post with all of the information I could find on the Roadmap blog! I’d like to tag @linux_penguin, @BlueberryMuffin, @Crewdy, @Gaddy, @ICA_677, @White-Half and finally @Quartz Tan again for their contributions to this Season’s featured contracts in this post as unfortunately there is a 10 person tag limit.
Hope you all enjoy reading!
Honestly I’m really pleased with this, especially given how usually the holiday roadmaps don’t have much to offer.
- An actual patch when usually they just did one in Sept/Oct and made us wait 4-5 months for the next one.
- ETs being ran which haven’t appeared as normal ETs in Hitman 3 before, the first time this has happened since The Forger in January 2023.
- A whole new Celeb ET featuring a popular and well liked guy (most importantly, not a total POS) and his title of The Splitter is one of the cleverest pun names an ET has ever had.
- Actually giving us the Freelancer coin and Safehouse seasonal cosmetics, took them about 2 years but better late than never (I assume this means the Easter and Halloween ones will come next year)
- Another great ugly Christmas sweater suit, this time complete with lights and reindeer antlers!
- And actually giving us a clear indication of when the next Roadmap will be!
My hopes for Year 5 are the legacy ETs being ran in a different order they were in Year 3 and Year 4, more challenge packs are added to the game, The Disruptor mission being reworked with someone else, and more improvements to Freelancer like being able to choose a briefcase and having the Deluxe/7 Deadly Sins items added. And of course, the most important thing, having Hokkaido’s map finally get fixed to show the garden properly!
I wasn’t expecting to see The Pharmacist/Warlord/Sensation on the roadmap. And going live so soon.
Not only because the Y2 and Y3 variants in the game were never used, but also because this is the first time a first run CelebrET has had other ETs go live at the same time. Usually they put the sole focus on the CelebrET for the full month.
Thank God for that. It would be really stupid if they just had one ET to run for whole month, and once you finish it, you have nothing left to do. I don’t think they will bring any new celeb ET, but it should’ve been done since the beginning.
I actually really want the purple boxer suit, it is totally my .
However, I don’t use twitch (except for drops), and I’m against paying $6+ for a sub to a channel just to receive a cosmetic.
Conflicted, but sticking to my guns.
I didn’t take any pics of it in action, but I love the new Christmas suit. The snowflakes light up and it’s just so marvelous to watch when in dark places (wear it on the Holiday Hoarders mission!)
They need to bring back The Fixer now. With an ET this complex, which will have a guaranteed drop in completion rate, yet it still found its way into Arcade, there’s really no excuse now.
You definitely can’t use a Twitch Prime subscription for the suit, yea?
Wait, huh? I checked both the roadmap and the blog post on it and there’s no mention of those two things. I was a little disappointed with how little new info we hadn’t already known. (Then again, this is only a month…)
From the patch notes:
SAFEHOUSE
‘Tis the Season
We have added seasonal cosmetics to the Safehouse (Winter Holidays, Chinese New Year), which can be changed.
My Precious
Solved an issue where the ICA Outstanding Service Coin was unavailable in the Freelancer mode.
