Season of The Drop Roadmap - Fall 2024

By the way, the Fuel to the Fire challenge won’t pop (at least for me on steam) if you shoot the barrel Akka walks past and then shoot the lamp to set it off. It only worked for me if i shot the puddle after shooting the barrel.

Happened to me, I think it’s because the lamp falls on her head and kills her with a falling object accident. Pretty funny.

I wasn’t expecting them to announce a new et on twitter but I’m looking forward to going back to chongqing

Well, it’s not Gary Busey, that’s for sure.

Just want to say to @scat1620 that I just played Sapienza with your fabled SASONKO method made possible with the micro proximity electrocution device we just unlocked.

And damn is it fun to do, and smooth too.

I think it will become my default NKO run for Sapienza (I’m currently trying to find satisfying SANKO for every map with basically the same kind of frame, though I’m much more open to placed disguises and undercover starts. What those runs loose in Suit Only, they gain in No Crouching No Vaulting.)

Change I made was passing by the kitchen and taking the master key in the library just after instead of the lockpick. No smuggling to do, and one window vaulting away if with a slight detection meter.
Much smaller change, I prefer taking the lab keycard in Caruso bedroom instead of the one in the Observatory.

Nice one. I love finding ‘roleplaying’ runs - @MvpAgent47 is my idol in this regard - and those sound like some nice modifications to the strat. What I love most about that particular Sapi run is just being in full sight of the mansion gate bodyguards while it all goes down, it feels so satisfying as a headcanon!

I concur.
I have the same in Marrakesh, both targets down while sitting in the Shisha Cafe

My favourite NKO find is in Paris: placed micro remote distraction device on Martinez table on the balcony, allows to poison Margolis drink in your suit when activated.

The True Fan challenge has been published, and with it the Super Fan suit.

True Fan

  • Eliminate Craig Black disguised as the Super Fan

Reward: Super Fan, 1000xp

@Dribbleondo you will be happy to know that the Super Fan suit does not count as a disguise in The Author. And seems to work without conflict, like a suit.

Also unpopular opinion, or at least unexpressed opinion: I like this unlock.
And I trust IOI on knowing when to make rare exceptions of making disguise suit unlocks. It’s for halloween. It and the Plague Doctor are fine for me.

Just as a small note; this suit has no Rain effects (I.E won’t get wet when in Chongquing), and neither does the plague doctor outfit.

I already knew this from a while back when reminding myself that TEMPS can be different, though I don’t think I mentioned that on here. But thank you for reminding me and telling everyone else.

That’s…not an unpopular opinion. People called me a killjoy for not liking this suit because it disrupted what they considered “fun” back when this roadmap released, when that wasn’t really the point I was making.

Play how you want to people, but IOI should’ve recoloured this suit to differentiate it from the disguise to keep it consistent with previous suits based on level outfits. It just makes it more obvious that it’s directly grabbed from the level with no changes instead of being slightly customised.

I just wish that they had given it a slightly different name than the disguise just to differentiate it.

You just know at some point now there’s going to be a shitty modded FC that will require kills in a mixture of the unlock suit and the in-mission disguise in The Author with no way to figure it out but trial and error… :frowning:

I decided to complete the challenge and Craig needed an exorcism.

So here’s the question: if you start the mission in the super fan outfit, and then KO the super fan and take his out fit (also a question: can you do that?), if you lose track of which one you’re wearing, how can you find out without wandering into a place you don’t belong?

Visually? They are identical.
Mechanically? The suit unlock will still be trespassing in the catacomb, won’t have the story mission interaction… But without this kind of wandering about, like you said can’t really distinguish them.
It’s a suit.

By the way @thrison this is also why the trick contracts you presented won’t work. It would just be “suit” and “super fan” (disguise) as far as objective condition goes.

A bit on the confusing side if a player actually use the new unlock and think it means it can be done suit only. And it will be funky on the “show details” thumbnail.

But not in a “need to trial and error which is which” way

Yes, you can do that. They are seperate temps and one does not forcibly disable the other.

Also, the sweet irony of this is that the fact you’re asking these kinds of questions further proves my point about not wanting ambiguity between disguises, and suits that look like disguises.

Indeed. It should have just been the actual suit. :relieved:

Not roadmap related, but since I did it during it:

Having found and bought an unopened copy of Hitman 2016 recently.
I have unlocked every achievements for Hitman 2016!
I finally have all the achievements for the whole trilogy!

Is why I said a modded contract, as it can be made to require a specific suit.

@thrison is correct about this, however there is a way to differentiate between them visually in the target details as shown here (I made this as a test). The super fan suit is zoomed out while the super fan disguise is a close up.
