Season Of The Disruptor (2024) - Summer Roadmap

Not sure if anybody else saw this (and apologies if this is the wrong thread for it) but I saw this article on Twitter and saw a bit of information that may be of interest for us!

‘On the topic of games, though, it might surprise some to learn that IOI isn’t done with Hitman by any means, despite currently focusing on Project Fantasy and carving out its own space in a huge franchise with Project 007. Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor was just added to Hitman as an Elusive Target, and Lallier teases that IOI has “more surprises to come to the game” at some point later this year.

Based on my gamer feelings being hurt before, I’m gonna take that promise of future surprises with a nice big grain o’ :salt:.

Great stuff, looking forward to seeing what IOI has in store for us for the rest of the year. That Christmas tree better be coming for the Safehouse? :joy: :christmas_tree::wink: I still have a feeling Year 4 will be the last year of content for Hitman WOA before they shift full focus on Project 007. I think anything after that will just be occasional bug fixes and reactivated ET every so often.

Either way, we’ve have a good run and IOI have looked after us. Usually games don’t continue with content going into a 4th year, so its been a blast and we’re very fortunate to still be getting new stuff

Of course they’re not done by any means. You know how long it’s gonna take them to fix all the bugs and glitches that have cropped up over the years?

My predictions for the “surprises” for the rest of the year:

  • Another new ET coming (They did say new Elusive Targets in the Year 4 announcement, though they might’ve been counting The Undying)

  • The Drop getting reactivated with its own DLC pack

  • Year 4 versions of The Iconoclast, The Ascensionist, The Politician, The Chameleon, The Surgeons, The Entertainer, The Badboy, and The Food Critic but no other ETs

  • An ET Galore at the end of the year reactivating all the Year 4 ETs

  • IO finally adds the coin to Freelancer (this might be too much)

Personally I’d like to add the Butcher item pack to that list. It might be unlikely they’d add it, but I’d want to see it implemented the way Peacock did it, with the classic “complete these unique challenges to unlock all of the items”.

Butcher Pack would be cool, so would other unused things like the Solstice Suit and the Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 versions of the Aluminum Travel Briefcase

They may surprise us (slightly) by finally using The Sensation, The Pharmacist and The Warlord. There has been Y2 and Y3 variants of these that were never used. The Y4 list is a copy and paste of the Y3 list, so I assume that there is also Y4 versions of these already in the game.

PS: I know the answer, but we’re not in the leaks section so…

Out of all the potential reskinned items we could get in this game, and especially with the unification of all main HITMAN maps in one single game now, it’s really weird they’re just sitting on these two briefcases that would be a great little celebration of how far the game’s come. Plus just for collector’s sake, it’s weird we only have the one when we could have all 3

Yeah the butcher pack would be cool.

I’d also like to see some interesting fiber wire and syringe variants in year four. In particular, a classic syringe that can be used a few times but is also pretty slow (since it uses the old neck method).

And The Fixer, don’t forget that bastard.

Well, @Combatglue acknowledged this has been flagged up with the team again, so we’re getting closer to this finally being fixed :crossed_fingers:t2:

Also, I really hoping the Drop gets its own DLC pack. Safehouse cosmetics for the basement music room? I can just see it happening

It’s almost a guarantee imo

There will finally be a reason to launch the game next weekend after about a month.

The only downside to the long activations of the CelebETs is that there isn’t anything else going while its running, which seems a little backwards to me. I think it makes more sense to continually have stuff going on weekly during that time to get new players that are pulled in by the CelebrET to form the habit of checking in weekly for something new, getting them further invested in the game.

This then pays off by the time the next $5 DLC releases as the active weekly player base has grown, meaning more people to potentially buy it.

I wish they would come out with some kind of

Titanium Pass.

Which would get you all The Elusive Targets from past 4 years to play whenever you want.

I wish they would restore all the esclations and actually make all Esclations 5 levels and 100 overall between 21 maps.

Wish more players would chime in…

I noticed there calling the coin something different.

The freelancer coin , not the collector coin.

Haven’t seen it yet. I hovered over the space in the tool box

I suppose that’s to separate the differences between the weapons in the loot crates and the weapons on the glass hall. For example, we have the normal Crowbar and Lockpick in the loot crate, but the Collectors Crowbar and Lockpick in the glass weapon cabinets. I’m assuming this is why it will be named the Freelancer coin for the loot crate and the Collectors coin is in the glass weapon cabinet :slightly_smiling_face:

Huh. Was that change recent?

I guess that’s total confirmation they are aware of the coin issue, but it’s weird they’d update it from ICA Performance Coin to Freelancer coin… and not just add the dang coin.
