Season of Awakening: roadmap discussion (spring '25)

That stupid suit just makes 47 look like one of the guys Viggo sent into John Wick’s house to kill him in the first movie, but with a bird beak on the ski mask.

They look glorious don’t they? :star_struck: I’m looking forward to the Halloween ones this Autumn as well :crossed_fingers:t2::winking_face_with_tongue:

I think they forgot to add them in the patch notes. They might get added in because I suppose not everyone will know they have been added to Freelancer?

This is one of the major things I want to see fixed in the game! Fingers crossed it does one day! :crossed_fingers:t2:

Not sure about the other easter eggs but this one is seemingly already implemented into the vanilla game

I might actually like that pistol!

When was the last time you tried that? I’m pretty sure that was aleady fixed quite a while ago.

They’ve never said it was fixed, and while I can’t remember when I last tried, I would say it was sometime within the last year. No one else has pointed out it being fixed either, as far as I recall.

Hitman content update go brrrrrr

Long ago I stopped putting too much hype into the roadmaps, so anything they release I’m just okay with. My only complain is, once again, the elusive targets, I just don’t get it, why is it so hard to change up the order? Somebody, please, explain to me what are the quantum physics behind choosing the elusive targets that prevents IO from changing the order? Why is somethig that should be so simple be so difficult for them? I don’t want to call IO lazy, but honestly I can’t find any other explanation of why they are doing this.

They didn’t mentionned it in the patch notes, but I remember going into the game after an update to check if they fixed it and they definately did, I even reported my findings in this forum. That wasn’t the last time they fixed something without mentioning it on the patch notes.

Still, I’ll check again tomorrow just to confirm, maybe they somehow reintroduced that glitch.

Makes sense its there. afaik they can use the servers to activate challenges etc whenever they want, but anything else that is required to make the challenge work upon activation is there from when the patch is installed.

Is why you can almost complete challenges early. Just get a save where you have one last action to take before its done. ie recently I had a save with both Dubai targets KO’d in a puddle, with a remote taser placed on the floor - all I had to do was load and trigger the taser and the challenge was done.

I think a sure sign of a roadmap’s quality can be reflected in how much people are still talking about it days later. Here we are, not even 24 hours after it was revealed, and the post traffic which was generating several new posts every minute has already slowed to a trickle.

I think the best way to put this roadmap is it’s all style with no substance. More of the same, but no real tantalizing reason to put a time sink into Hitman.

The Egg Hunt Suit, is simply excess once you see the full thing, I can’t elaborate much further just so I’m in accordance with how the Forum goes about leaks, but it pushes the envelope for what qualifies as Goofy Silly Suits in HITMAN.

The Purple Twitch Drop Coin feels like it was hastily thrown together to push out another additional LTO via Twitch Drops.

The Cherry Blossom Baller is the big ticket item this time around, but for good reason since the detailing and color is beautiful. Definitely will be a fan favorite in the Baller series of variants in this game.

And the latest in the ICA melee tech, a Football Shoe for every skilled assassin who can’t distinguish Football with Football.

Can’t forget the Elusive Target Reactivations that are exhausting and repetitive.

But the all female feature contracts batch is again the biggest highlight in terms of playable content.

So, all sizzle and no steak.

Exactly.

That’s essentially the problem summed up. It pretends to be bigger and better than it really is, but if you look underneath the surface, it’s just what we had last patch, but we now have easter eggs related to challenges instead of the QOL changes and improvements the game should’ve gotten.

It’s quite fascinating how much of a misfire this patch is. It also continues to ignore the current controversies (and even makes a new one, as PSVR 2 has its own WOA: Part One edition), and just feels…empty.

As much issues as I also have with the roadmap decisions.
Saying that the patch is a “misfire” is a bit self-centred.

PSVR2 is a pretty big deal and work done.

It’s the actual reason for the patch. And it fired true.

To be fair, I don’t mind the roadmap in all honesty. Have we had more packed roadmaps? Yeah of course we have, however, for an Easter roadmap in Year 4 life cycle of Hitman III, I think it’s ok in my opinion :slightly_smiling_face:

Bare in mind that PSVR2 is only for the PS5 section of the player base, and even then just a small sliver of the PS5 players will even benefit from it because PSVR2 has such a small install base.

For the majority of players, PSVR2 is absolutely and completely meaningless. Which makes the patch a bit of a dud.
