I see your point, somehow, but still, I can’t understand why the server fix of two days ago worked for the majority of the players while others, like yourself, are still struggling to connect.
Also, the carryover worked fine for me, apart the miss of the requiem pack contents, like other players.
Yeah… I also don’t understand. I also doubt the explanation from IOI would make much sense as it involves a lot of internal workings of their server/profile/networking.
Description: When finishing the bangkok level, the game tries to authorize my account but fails. It keeps saying fetching and tells me to retry after a while or go to menu. I tried loading a previous save and restarting the game. this is going on for 2 days now. It also told me to contact costumer support iff the problem stil persists. wich i did. they redirected me to this forum and a developer should contact me.
Steps to reproduce: finishing bangkok level, loaded save, previous save.
Actually to be honest, it is possible that you are in the majority (which is not to say that those with problems like ours are few but that it places into perspective the feeling that “This isn’t working for ANYONE!”).
Over the last few days, I’ve seen enough video and activity that proves the game works enough and in great enough numbers that hopefully the game can launch and work successfully 100% of the time for 100% of the buyers.
So I tried using my phone’s data as a wi-fi hotspot, and unfortunately the same error persisted. Just in case, my girlfriend offered to let me use her phone’s data as a wi-fi hotspot, we gave that a go and the same problem persisted.
For @Travis_IOI - Here is the message I have been receiving for the past week.
“CONNECTION FAILED. Unable to connect to the HITMAN service. Failed to fetch online resources from the HITMAN server. For more information, contact HITMAN support.”
Error: Disconnected: Failed to fetch online resources (as above). Platform: Playstation 5. PSN ID: Cr33g. Region: Australia / Oceania. IOI Account: Cr33g
As I posted above, I have tried the following:
Using a different Internet connection (home wired/Ethernet, home wi-fi, mobile hotspot with two different mobile phones on separate networks),
Uninstalling and reinstalling Hitman 3, followed by re-downloading updates,
Deleting local saved files,
Starting my PS5 up in safe mode and rebuilding hard drives and saved data,
Hitting the ‘Retry’ button to attempt to connect inside Hitman 3,
Restarting my console,
Turning my console on and off again,
Changing my IOI password (not sure why, someone suggested it).
I highly doubt this will do anything, but I might restart my modem/router… might as well rule out any possibility.
It seems to be working now. Like I said in my earlier post, I don’t know if the timing was purely coincidental, or if this actually fixed my issue, but I turned my modem/router off, turned it back on again, suddenly I could go online with Hitman 3.
Huh, that’s strange. I even tried connecting with my mobile data hotspot and, no difference. I’m still getting the same message.
But, if it’s been fixed for you. It will probably get fixed for the rest of us, very soon.
Thank you for your answer.
Try rebooting your router and console system mate, it works for me. And the first time I got to online took minutes, longer than I got the error message before. Give it some time, hope this help
“PlayStation players! We’ve made a server-side change to fix the issue that was preventing some of you connecting to the @HITMAN 3 servers. Thanks for your patience!”
