If you use a banana in a contract that has “no pacifications” as a condition, you will fail that condition so… bananas count as KOs It’s just that like the Kalmer it’s a KO that allows you to keep SA if the body is found (as long as it’s not a target).
There was an Elusive Target on 2 accounts where I tested using the banana peel right next to the edge of a lift shaft. If I remember correctly, 2 guards were positioned near the lift shaft & constantly head turning, facing that direction. The first time I attempted it, SO/SA (4 ’s was awarded) it did not count as 5
’s as they spotted the accident, but the 2nd time I tried it, they did not spot the slip on the banana peel falling down the lift shaft & I got the full SO/SA 5
’s
It seems arbitrary to me to consider banana peel KOs as ok but not other accident KOs like chloroform, sedative pills, sedative injections, Kalmers, exploding fire extinguishers, other explosions at the right distance, pianos, wet floors, and so on.
You are, of course, free to have any idiosyncratic definition you want. But stating “no KOs” rather than “no non-banana-peel KOs” means people who don’t share your definition may point it out.
Sounds more like the second time the heads were turned away so they didn’t see the slip at all, rather than anything about banana peel KOs being special.
I’m in the room with the clone that breaks the bricks, and was going to challenge him. I have the (Y) prompt, but it’s grayed out… And everyone else is standing around in the room waiting.
Sorry, I didn’t want to scroll through 300+ posts if this has already been answered.
Edit: I’m in the 2nd level of ET Arcade, where changing disguise immediately fails if I need a yellow and black guard disguise.
You can definitely do it in the starting disguise.
Maybe it’s greyed out because of the sword on your back? Otherwise I have no idea.
EDIT: Sword didn’t seem to matter when I tried it, so I have no idea.
I have never watched anyone’s gameplay or video & try to critique what they defy as a KO & then respond with another version of what you would do for a No Loadout method. I can play the game or any stealth & figure it out myself & don’t need to be told with a full descriptions of what they would do as many Hitman players approach & play the game with different play styles. I don’t need any “Hand Holding” or any advice. I watch others gameplay to see what they can do & never do full essays or specific time stamps of what they think in there mind is a No KO
It was YOU who responded stating “I saw 2 KO’s” which totally makes what you said irrelevant/void of anything & then you stated that my view in KO’s was the only definition I just stated what I did. I never stated once that was the “Golden Rule”. You do what you do & i do what I do & that’s where I leave it
I just booted up the ET, was very excited to give it a go. I played along with the mission story (I like to explore a new level as much as I can before i start completing objectives)
Was following the tour of the facility, got to the shooting range area, and felt myself curiously compelled to see if i’d be allowed to pick up one of the weapons (given the guard disguise)
As soon as i approached the weapons, (stood BETWEEN the 2 clones shooting) I was one-shot killed without any warning
ET failed
guess I’ll just play the arcade for now and wait for the ET rerun to get another chance at completing the challenges
EDIT: I’m on PS5 and was so stunned by the sudden death I didn’t have a chance to force quit the game before it saved the failure
Wow, calm down a bit.
Personally I much prefer text descriptions over videos, so that’s my go-to when talking about how to do things. I know I’m in a minority in that, most people seem to prefer videos instead.
Which is why I watched your video, I was hoping to see a no-KO method for getting Clone #7 and I knew asking for a text description wouldn’t fly. When I saw you used KOs after all, I wanted to start a conversation about how it might be done really-no-KO. I almost replied “I haven’t come up with a good way to do it”, but then I had the idea of using the multiple gun distractions, and I tried it and it worked, so I described it.
So I called you out & now you want to wave the white peace flag & go back on what you said. Come on dude, this ain’t no 2Pac vs Biggie situation 2Pac is The G.O.A.T. In my view or is my view the “Golden Rule”
First of all I’m calm I’m not mad @ you or taken anything personal. Context is key! Anyone who has watched my gameplay over the years knows I don’t speed run much, I hate using distractions/weapon drops unless I have no choice depending on mission design etc etc. I hate throwing items/coins or whatever as we all have different approaches or methods we like to play Hitman, so I’ll come at that hurdle different if all methods are
% exhausted. I might hate it, but I got to find another way to how I like to play. I could write ridiculous views pointing out on what I hate what they do in the Hitman universe that frustrates me in regards mission design or silliness in my view they create in certain situations.
There are many “Elite” Hitman gamers on this forum who are highly skilled & many of them have totally different methods/tactics than what I would do. I play Hitman as other Stealth games @ a high skill level, like so many in this forum. There is no golden rule on who’s “The Greatest” or “Best” or the only way as the “Golden Rule”. So let’s finish this now with no drama! Shake hands & move on
I’m not going back on anything I said. You misinterpreted my intent in the first place.
The new VHS item in the DLC is kinda weird where, at least for me, every time you hit someone with it you also drop the item. I don’t know it this is a glitch or if it’s on purpose, but it’s cool to see a new item with a different mechanic, albeit not a very useful one, at least
Interesting! Is that from one of the recent streams? Wanted to watch sometime anyway, but I’d be especially interested if they chatted about the ET development.
I initially thought the bathroom was for a chance to take care of Pritchard or the scientist. That doesn’t seem to be the case though, since you can’t do the tour disguised as Pritchard. Which I feel is a big missed opportunity - it could have been fun to hear 47 negotiate with Valliant, make comments about the clones’ abilities, and maybe make him realize who he’s actually talking to before taking him out.
I noticed something odd in Vallient’s office: if you look at reflections, particularly on the backside of the whiteboard or in the windows after opaquing them, you can still see Royce’s furnishings. At least on PS4.
@AnthonyFuller had a reddit chat with a dev, Martin Ansdal. Because he had some suspicions.
Ansdal said:
Sneaky! Yes I had done preliminary work on a clone mission on Chonqing, way back in 2021 which was codenamed Cavelion.
But that mission was cancelled for non-creative reasons.
When we signed JCVD, i pitched bringing back the old scene to be able to make a bigger ET than normally possible. Springboarding off of the old work.
What exactly happened? Did the clones just open-fire on you? Did you go into combat or did you just suddenly drop dead?
from what i can guess, the game considered me in front of the clones (when i was absolutely stood between them) and when one fired it insta-killed me
no shoot out, no trespassing, no red hit markers, just instant death
Its the bug that is killing a lot of people.
Whenever those two clones are shooting their gun, the killbox is activating from the Wilhelm Tell scenario which is killing the player if stood in the right spot.
Max Valliant has the prototype for the Explosive Pen from The Undying in his office so I’d like to headcanon that the second client he calls in his office when he’s alone is Mark Faba
I really wish IO would stop with that pen kill.
The first time it appeared in Landslide, it was a wickedly amazing kill and was quite unique. Now, because IO has reused it over and over so many times, the impact of it is now lost and has become quite a generic kill.
Oh god, seeing that screen like that, I don’t envy your pain!!
