I’m a MASSIVE sucker for nighttime maps, I have Haven and Miami set to night with the TOD mod because they’re just so pretty and I’d actually prefer those missions in those variants.
As for my third choice, I was stuck between Colorado and Dartmoor, because both night variants are pretty cool, but I chose Dartmoor just because I’d play it and would see it more often than Colorado.
Paris is also pretty good but the lighting sometimes breaks leaving ”ugly” results in the interior areas (maybe because of my PC or something).
Played a lot (~ 15-20 maps) of 0.9.2 - 0.9.4 , pretty smooth (Steam, SDK+UI). Got only 1 random game freeze at Miami Night (parking near pink bird) and 1 random crash at safehouse (probably vanilla bug). No gamebreaking problems found, some minors just for info.

I watched video footage of other people - it’s always storm at mission start. So it’s vanilla ‘issue’, in theory maybe you could split it into “Always sunny” and “Always stormy” variants.
P.S. Chongqing variant with permanent alert at ICA Lab is cool . But first time i saw it - was panic thinking that’s my targets run to map boundaries .

A lot of the small things I’m not gonna touch for a while until everything I think it more important is done first (Mainly Noodle Massacre showdown variant), though I’ll try and have the Undying safe fixed in next update, as that stops you from being able to get something you should
Speaking of Undying and the guns, I did see them in the lab and I thought about it. For now I’m not too fussed about it, if New York has free money every time you go there, why can’t Miami have free guns 1/3 of the time you go there? Though in future I might reduce the guns, or go through and see which ones you can take with you to safehouse and which ones you can’t… or just delete the silenced ones. Who knows, but I’m okay with it being a little ‘bonus’ at the moment.
I was waiting for someone to show me badly placed acts of The Source Unlike other bonus missions which cut off parts of the map, I didn’t go through and check everything for it, I figured “Well you can go to all the same rooms etc as vanilla, so I’ll just leave it the same ” But I suspected something might be wrong in that exhibition area
Looks like same thing happened in Patient Zero showdown mode… erg that’s gonna be annoying to go through all the acts and fix the bad ones… I’ll leave it to later for now lel. Put it on my ‘down the track’ list.
This marks the final ‘major’ variant of the mod, with only small ones left to do (Dubai ToD change + ET, Marrakesh ToD change + ET, etc). I would probably set this as version 1.0 now they’re all done but it just feels wrong knowing so many people still get crashes and issues with the mod. We’ve started looking into the LU 2.3 incompatibility issue, but it looks like ultimately and update to SMF will need to be required, as LU 2.3 essentially repeats stuff my mod has already done (taken from LU 2.0 and LU 2.2), but because it’s already removed the things LU 2.3 removes, SMF freaks out.
Fixes: AHBOS - Well start Stash in a faucet and Consulate Security Stash mocking you from out of bounds. Turns off debug mode that spawned all stashes I accidentally left on this entire time

Change: Noodle Massacre - 2 couriers moved out of The Block and made more public

UPDATE: Quickly re-released version 0.9.5 that fixes AHBOS safes not opening from clues, a particular clue being unscannable, and me having accidentally left all couriers on in Noodle Massacre at same time. If you downloaded from ANY source in the past 42 minutes, please download again.
@Kevin_Rudd The FreelancerVariations.json file you provide on nexus, enable all the variations by default or some of them are disabled ? According to piepie’s tool, when I upload the default file, some variations appear to be disabled but this is not the case.
Your mod is really excellent, so far I haven’t had a crash or a breaking bug, I’ve been testing it for 2 days now. Your work is really amazing (thank to all contributors as well). This is truly a must have.
The only bug I had (atm) was a vendor in Berlin (Easter Event) next to the first outside bar (not the juice bar) that was not available, even when she was alone.
I upload my personal json each time, which is supposed to have all enabled. I checked just then and mine does indeed have Easter enabled. I’ve just had a look and it might not be showing on website because the L there is lowercase instead of upper case, I’ll fix that.
The upload feature is meant to be used for your own customized JSON, if you want certain ones turned off, but want to grab new variants without having to go through and re-turn off the variants.
Sounds like same as Midday bug, I’ll apply the same fix in next update

I verified my game files and reinstalled SMF, only Freelancer Variations is enabled.
Yesterday, I was stuck after the score screen in landslide mission (final showdown) with no rating, and no merces, I rebooted the game for another try (this time the last mission was on Sapienza Vanilla), and no issue. Maybe it’s Landslide related for the final showdown ?
I’m not sure, but it seems that after installing this mod, SMF and SDK - my mission rating is gone.
At the end of mission there is no SA or MelonMan for example. And mastery for a freelancer has a strange behavior.
UPD1: reinstalled game, played without any mods - all good.
Now will try to install mods again.
