How to kill Tamara Vidal on her own by covering the strict requirements i set above^^. You talk to Diana 3 times where you have conversations with both Diana & Tamara. Your essentially starting the Feature “The Talented Mr. Rieper” & Tamara Vidal wants to meet you for a private word in the cinema. She essentially @ this point thinks she has Agent 47 in a trap, as there is 5 Bodyguards waiting for you (including her personal bodyguard). But what Tamara Vidal doesn’t realise is that she has already been outsmarted by 47’s higher IQ & he already knows what awaits him. Tamara Vidal’s curiosity of Mr. Rieper gets the better of her as she is only focused on him & getting him eliminated. But I figured out a way to get her on her own with No Bodyguards around, use her own trap against her, break her line of sight on 47 to avoid the Target/Combat “Lockdown” situation occur. Tamara Vidal was already dead before she knew it!!! It was a bad move on her part to try & trap 47. But by getting her on her own with all of the above strict requirements implemented, in a 1v1 situation she was “Easy Prey” :smirk:

This only works by doing the method i discovered & if you time it 100% correctly, you can avoid all the above & avoid Tamara calling in her “Lockdown/Combat” trap on 47. She wanted to play Chess with 47, but got outplayed in every move :slightly_smiling_face:

You can do this with No Load Out too, I just used a Fibre Wire as it was obviously a FW version only :slightly_smiling_face:

Detailed explanation:

When I was testing this method I noticed that Tamara Vidal would stop & cross her arms waiting for you if you kept a certain distance from her. So I knew then there was an opportunity to taker her out on her own. I noticed if you keep your distance as she stops @ the top of the Cinema stairs, her personal Bodyguard keeps walking down to the Cinema area to his exact spot where the rest of the Security is waiting for Vidal & 47. At this point she is focused on 47 the whole time by using No manipulation or any distractions/exploits etc etc etc. It’s coded in the game. When testing this I had her & 3 of her bodyguards follow me everywhere on the whole map. I was hiding in crates/closets/toilets to see what she would do. But every time she sees you, it’s an instant “Lockdown/Combat” situation or they just wait there. But I figured out that you can create a small window of opportunity to get her on her on before any of the bodyguards come up from the Cinema to follow her. I had no place to volt over the wall. But I noticed if you stay behind the wall & wait for her to come close, you can get her. But you have to run out & Fibre Wire her before she can execute her Lockdown call. If you do this correctly, it’s 100% avoided & you can take her out with nobody even knowing. You do have to be careful tho, as there is one Security guard patrolling that area, he can spot you taking her out & watch out for the Security guard on the hill above when dumping the body.

Essentially your creating a distance between Tamara Vidal & the rest of the bodyguards & the game flows naturally. Even Agent 47 had a few glasses of wine before taking the smart ass out! She was not on Agent 47’s level :joy::smirk:

Finally got around to explore this map a little bit more. And was planing on doing a contract. The Viewpoint (Starting point) would be a perfect spot for a sniper contract as you can see almost all the map and won’t get spotted shoting at stuff. But then I noticed that you can’t bring a briefcase with you to that starting location. Doesn’t really make sense.

I did a couple of runs at this yesterday, and both times he seems to do this about 20 minutes after the one NPC gets a call from Yates and tells Flowers to bring the Paladin to the meeting.

Not sure if anything else but time is at play here, and didn’t have the patience/time to experiment further, but if it is only time based, then it’s something like 27 minutes. If the phone call needs to be triggered by proximity, and the rest is time based then it’s something like 20 minutes after the call.

I just finished a 49 minute run Suit Only/Silent Assassin version where you are correct that the phone call has to be triggered, it does take 20 minutes for Flowers to bring up the bottle. I also figured out a way to Trigger Yates to attempt to kill Diana, but there is a specific time for it to occur, otherwise he just waits @ the table with his hands on his hips forever surrounding by guards :joy:. You can also set up the poison kill before all this happens when Yates drinks the wine. Very time consuming, but I’ll have a video uploaded showing what i discovered for a Fibre Wire Kill on Yates & just before Diana is eliminated when the timer runs out :slightly_smiling_face:

Which NPC? When this happened for me he told Cortazar in person to tell Flowers to get the wine. It definitely took awhile, though I don’t think it could’ve been more than 15 minutes after Cortazar speaks to him.

Yes, if you start there you are forced - for an inexplicable reason - to wear the default starting suit as well. The best thing to do is just start in the other Suit starting-point and run up the road to the sniper position. Once Vidal and her entourage have gone, there’s nobody nearby!

There’s some dude down right outside of the room Flowers is in that will get a call if you go down there and just wait.

I am not sure, but I think Cortazar only does it in person if you have triggered the winery tour somehow.

Ah. I haven’t tried anything outside of the tour, but when he did deliver the wine himself it was after I triggered the tour without taking part in it.

How do you trigger the tour without being in it. I have seen this mentioned a few times.

If you dress as a waiter you can tell Corvo they’re ready to start the tour, which triggers all three to go down, and I think listening to Vargas’s phone call with Yates without going near Corvo will trigger them all to go down as well.

After that you need to get the 3 Malbec grapes to Vargas, either by dressing as a worker and handing them over or by setting them on the table next to him in any disguise.

Thanks. I figured you still have to handle the grape issue, but the first part had me totally stumped.

So… today I tried attending the meeting as a Herald. I hadn’t done it before because:

1.) I didn’t think it would be possible
2.) I hadn’t found a good way of getting a Herald disguise without blowing SA.

Either way, I found a way to do 2, and I was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed. You can go to the meeting no problem. It doesn’t count as trespassing or anything like that. (pleasantly surprised)
The disappointment came when I realized I can’t sit down at the table. I really hope they patch this in. It really doesn’t strike me as a big thing.

The first sentence combined with your Herald forum title confused me a bit for a sec

This isn’t a new observation, but I love the sniping vantage points on this map. Yates’ villa, overlooking the vineyard near the parking lot entrance, the steel tanks area…

Suit Only/Silent Assassin/No HUD/No Instinct/Saving Diana Burnwood @ the last second before Don Archibald Yates executes his plan B (Master Difficulty).

All Scenarios Triggered Correctly
No Wine Tour Required/No Grapes Needed
The Sommelier Phone Call Triggered
Flowers Brings The 1945 Grand Paladin
Herald Meeting Takes Place
Juan Cortazar Kills Tamara Vidal
Closing Statement
Save Diana Burnwood from Execution
Deal With All Mercenary Guards Correctly
Fibre Wire Kill Only On Yates
No Disguise Change
Suit Only

And it only took 49 minutes :joy:. It’s well worth the pay off after trying all the possibilities.

Detailed Description for Suit Only version:

1= Trigger conversation between Corvo Black & Juan Cortazar.

2= As your walking down to the Fermentation area, Gabriel Vargas has already received the phone call to do the “Wine Tour” He will walk to the table with his worker waiting for 3 Grapes. All this is not required as you have already triggered the conversation between Corvo Black & Juan Cortazar.

3= I get the screwdriver.

4= At this point when you are sneaking around the Fermentation area towards the Wine Barrel section, Juan Cortazar should be on his phone next to a patrolling guard. He will stay there until a scenario is triggered later on.

5= Approach the Wine Barrel area, the Waiter will receive a phone call from Yates & he will speak to The Sommelier “Flowers” about bringing up the bottle of 1945 Grand Paladin to the Herald Meeting. Everything is now correctly triggered. Flowers will grab the bottle after 20 minutes & meet/talk with Juan Cortazar later on. If this is not done correctly, Flowers will just stand near the big doors & never attend the meeting upstairs.

6= I listen to Flowers dialogue (optional) you have 20 minutes to waste. 47 does some wine tasting, some dialogue with the reception worker, go to the top of the Fermentation area over looking & noticing Juan Cortazar is still on his phone.

7= Head to the Villa, avoid detection & sneak past the Mercenary guards.

8= (Optional) Listen to dialogue with Maid Worker & Mercenary Guard on the guitar. Essentially just waiting for “Flowers” to pick up the 1945 Grand Paladin.

9= Head up to the attic & kick the ladder down for later on.

10= Waiting for the PIP to appear when “Flowers” collects the 1945 Grand Paladin.

11= I head down to the Herald meeting 50 seconds after the PIP appears on screen. Yates starts his Dialogue with the rest of the Heralds. Then Flowers & Juan Cortazar appear. Yates acknowledges this, introduces Flowers & he will start his dialogue. If this is not done correctly, Flowers will just do the animation of just placing the bottle on the table & walk downstairs. When triggered correctly, he will talk to the Heralds briefly & Juan Cortazar will pour out the 1945 Grand Paladin to everyone sitting around the table.

12= Don Archibald Yates continues his dialogue with the Heralds & they agree with Yates. Tamara Vidal rejects this & Juan Cortazar executes her. Diana gets brought up to Yates office. Yates continues his dialogue with the Heralds & they all agree to set up Agent 47.

13= 10 minute countdown to get to Diana Burnwood starts.

14= For the Suit Only method to be triggered correctly, you “Do Not” enter the room where Diana is. You can only enter this room when 1 minute 14 seconds is left on the countdown. If you enter that room before this, Yates will not come up to office & just stand with his hands on his hips @ the table. Remember you ain’t changing your disguise to a Mercenary disguise like the story mission where you sit on the chair waiting for Diana to set up her attack on Yates. This is a Suit Only version.

15= Head up to the attic 1st & the Mercenary guard sitting next to Diana, will leave her side & enter the toilet. You must Subdue/Pacify this guard. Basically all of them will need to be dealt with eventually. Take out the the two Mercenary guards outside on the balcony, but remember Not to enter the room where Diana is as it will cancel Yates coming up, unless 1 minute 14 seconds is left on the countdown.

16= I head downstairs, hide in the closet & Juan Cortazar/Yates & one other Mercenary will start to head up to the office @ exactly 1 minute 14 seconds left on the countdown. This is all correctly triggered :slightly_smiling_face:

17= Yates talks on his phone to Corvo as all 3 walk up to the office to where Diana is. Plan “B” is a go… The execution of Diana Burnwood is all set. Yates talks to Diana, moves again, then gives the signal to Juan Cortazar to execute Diana. I use the Klamer Tranquilizer here & Tranq Cortazar first just as he is about to kill Diana. Time this correctly & Yates won’t notice it, the Mercenary will see he is down, but quickly Tranq him & then Fibre Wire kill Yates as Diana talks to him. Hide the bodies if you like. Ignore Diana when she says “Dress Appropriately” as that was scripted for the story mission when changing from a Mercenary Disguise. You won’t get Suit Only rating & it’s a Suit Only version obviously :joy:

Time to Tango with Diana :sunglasses:

Time consuming YES!!! But we’ll worth it. Agent 47 out…

Doing my first featured contracts on this level, I am not a fan of the vineyard exit being the only unlocked one (and only one anywhere close to the bulk of the mission area).
