As we need to mention, these contracts were created in Jan/Feb 2022, it’s most likely a molotov contract.
I can understand not fully playtesting but come on, simple sightseeing couldv’e brought them to the same conclusion.

Ambrose Island/the unnerfed molotov released in July 2022, so the contracts pre-date it.
Anyway… There’s now a thread for the FC batch - so probably best to move that discussion over there.
Ah, my bad
Yeah, disscussing the contracts themselves should be brought there, tho I’d like to keep the message to Combatglue here because it is important for him to take notice of what I had to say.
Didn’t IOI promise to announce patches/downtime 24 hours or more before? It’s 21 hours until the servers go offline!
Spoke too soon! We got the patch notes and roadmap 1 day early.

Hey, it’s good enough for me. Better than day of.
Looks like we need to revive this again
As of the newest patch a set of bugs with the ancestral and splitter weapons has led to being unable to progress in Freelancer, meaning the new patch has added a softlock. Unfortunately @combatglue, the only active IOI employee has been gone for a few days now
I’m tired boss. I actually liked the PSVR2 port a lot so I don’t like being negative but it’s a shame that the two primary voices of the community - the forum and the subreddit - are ignored in favor of Twitter, Tiktok, Twitch, even BlueSky which are very difficult to curate feedback for. I don’t visit this forum daily either, but I’m not being paid and I feel bad criticizing IOI and Glue because I’ve talked to the guy numerous times and he’s really nice but like is there a reason why communication is this bad? Do we need more community managers? I’d intern; I’d nominate @Urben, @BlossomFox and @cake941 as ambassadors: I’d do anything!
Because when stuff like this breaks the game we can’t wait two months to patch it out. I get not doing monthly patches like before because of various circumstances involving the fact patches cost the devs to develop but stuff like this needs a hotfix
Criticism of IO can go semi-viral in these circles yet none of it reaches IO. The fake AI quote of Diana Burnwood is still on their socials!
Gonna link what I’ve said too.
That’s the worst part - he hasn’t even been gone. His profile shows he was online 7 hours ago. Its that he says nothing. We don’t need an exact answer of what is going to be done to fix something - but at the absolute bare minimum a “On it” or “Leave it with me” is needed so that at least we know what we’ve said hasn’t been for nothing and so that we feel heard.
The issue is that the community isn’t being managed in any meaningful way and things have been going downhill fast over the last few months. Unfortunately, it seems IO doesn’t care and wants us to go fuck ourselves because all they care about is capturing new players - but they don’t seem to realise the way the community is being handled is giving new players a reason to avoid the game at all costs.
Something needs to change, and it needs to change fast. Clemens, who is no longer in the role, has posted more recently and has communicated things with the community (about the prospect of human shields being added to the game) than the person that is currently that is in the role. Which is, frankly, embarrassing.
Hey,
Sorry that you feel unheard.
I have been trying to check my inbox even when my time is thin and answer that I will get back, etc.
I have checked in with the team; they are aware of the issue and are checking for potential fixes, of course. However, I do not have a timeline for it.
If your time is that thin that you can’t interact with the community you’re meant to be managing, then it might be worth talking to someone internally about moving some of the tasks you currently do to someone else so you have more time.
As it stands, various people on this forum, including myself, have posted in the last few days questioning why they are still playing your game. This is only going to slowly spread through your community like a cancer. This is a giant red flag that something isn’t working and there needs to be a change.
Sorry that you feel unheard.
We feel unheard because you and the rest of the PR team barely comment, or even contribute to discussion in any meaningful fashion. There has been no public acknowledgement of the softlock issue, and it’s been almost a week now. That is absurd.
Players need reassurance that this softlock fix is being worked on via posting about it on socials. Doing nothing looks bad, even if you are doing something behind the scenes to resolve it.
It’s curious, I thought they hired @Marchouette for this very purpose to support the community stuff part time. But she seems to have vanished, and was only really seemingly active for quite a short time.
Wonder what happened with that, and why somebody else hasn’t taken on the role if she’s gone.
Hello, I have a question.
Why did IOI remove all Hitman-related games (except Hitman Go) from the PlayStation Store for Russia and Ukraine?
When trying to buy DLC, the message “This product is currently out of stock” appears.
Positive news, we know there is a fix coming for the Freelancer bugs. Down side, there isn’t a timeframe for it!
They shouldn’t be concerning themselves with ports when we still don’t can have a properly functioning game and haven’t for quite some time with its myriad of issues. Like, make this thing work properly for those who already have it, before trying to branch out.
Doc @thrison Bryant speaking freely with IOI:
Agreed. If they don’t have the capacity to fix the game on the platforms its already on, then adding additional platforms is probably the last thing they should be doing when the game is in the state it is.
