The critically acclaimed HITMAN series comes to Nintendo’s new console natively in June 2025 HITMAN World of Assassination - Signature Edition. Pre-order will be available soon, physically and digitally, granting access to bonus in-game content.

A native console experience

IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, announced that HITMAN World of Assassination will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025. HITMAN World of Assassination - Signature Edition includes HITMAN World of Assassination as well as premium content and extra locations and missions, for +100 hours of content to play through.

HITMAN World of Assassination invites players to become the world’s ultimate assassin by bringing together the best of HITMAN, HITMAN 2, and HITMAN 3, including the main campaign, contracts mode, escalations, elusive target arcades, and featured live content.

In the award-winning game, players control master assassin Agent 47 to explore stealth-based sandboxes and take down high-profile targets. Explore intricate, open-ended environments, using disguises, creative tools, and concealment tactics to execute missions. From the glamorous runways of a fashion show in Paris, to the dizzying heights of Dubai’s skyscrapers, or the rapturous crowd of a high-speed race in Miami, operatives will travel all around the world to find their next target. The gameplay emphasizes strategy, improvisation, and replayability, rewarding experimentation and attention to detail.

This greatest hits collection of the HITMAN series was previously available on Nintendo Switch systems via cloud streaming, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version will run natively on the console, allowing players to experience Agent 47’s globe-trotting adventures seamlessly offline and on the go.

this is gonna be awesome, will there be a blog post telling us what’s gonna be in it and what improvements there are?

im getting a switch 2 on laucnh so if this comes out on launch im getting it day one i’ll be there

will there be a special patch for parity with this too? will there be online? will it include all dlc?

im wondering will there be a physical edition for switch 2? because i actually would be interested in getting that as i’ve not had a physical edition of a hitman game since H2 for PS4

tho tbh that shit is NOT leaving my switch if it does have a cart and i get it

will this new info be after the presentation?

also i really want to 100 percent everything again but i’d love if there was an option to transfer progress between platforms

You’d think that having an always-online game with a database of players and an IOI account system, that they’d leverage that for cross-platform saving and progress transfers irrespective of console or storefront.

The trailer shows 47 in The Club Boom DJ Suit (as well as the red Trinity Pack Suit). This implies to me that by “Signature Edition” it does actually include every piece of DLC in it. So I really hope this means that there will be a consolidation of the DLCs on the other platforms as well!

I agree, i hope this is the big ole edition - i would guess there will be post-launch DLC after this but hopefully from then on it’s just “Signature Edition” + whatever else IO cooks

My hope would be too for the Signature edition to include a new campaign with missions spanning all the game’s maps

also im speculating the Signature Edition will have official Mario and Luigi outfits on Switch ala Rayman Legends on Switch

H3’s graphics look impressive on the new Switch. Hopefully lag won’t be an issue. Although, IOI did shrink the file size a crazy amount when H3 was released so I have little doubt they can cook something up like that again. Perhaps it means more oddly placed cacti on work desks and oversized shrubs in gardens. Looks cool, regardless! And I do hope we get access to all suits across other platforms. Plus now imagine a custom Switch 2 case that’s hitman themed…that would be sick :ok_hand:

What I’m wondering is how this Signature Edition will handle the “Disruptor” DLC that is now unavailable for purchase.
For those who will be buying HITMAN WoA SE, the current situation will leave the Freelancer shelf unfilled…

1 of 3 guesses:

  1. the switch edition doesnt include those challenges or content, the other ports get retroactively changed to remove the challenge but keep the content for those who own it - blanking out any evidence of him existing to non-owners

  2. the switch edition launches with a reworked version of that dlc, the changes get ported over

  3. the switch edition just includes the disruptor dlc outright, ioi make the DLC free and permanent to other ports with an apology or disclaimer note

That is the Crimson Red Suit, or at the very least is a variant of it. From what little I can see in the video it appears to be the Crimson Red Suit though.

I kind of doubt that we will get that, since nothing that I’ve seen has indicated there will be a focus on “Hitman 3 + Nintendo”, rather than just “Hitman 3 on Switch 2”. But if we do get crossover suits/challenges/etc. then I hope they will be available on all platforms, rather than just on Switch 2.

Edit: My prediction didn’t even last 20 minutes lol.
