PC VR is live on January 20th along with the Steam release
RIP Left-handed people
I was worried for them
https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/s8m2to/enjoyment_killing_oversight_for_pcvr/
As far as I can see there is no way to use your left hand, which basically makes the game unplayable for lefties like me because its so awkward to aim or do anything involving a dominant hand only using the right hand.
I was considering buying VR (but wasnât going to, actually), but nowâŚ
Though I can see why - Agent 47 uses his right hand almost always and left is just for assistance
They should take notes from HL Alyx
I still wish that you could just do this on the fly, depending with which hand you grabbed the weapons instead of changing a setting in the options menu and always use that hand.
If 47 can dual wield pistols, wouldnât that make him ambidextrous? He should have no problems using his left hand for small weapons
The Known Issues page has been updated to reflect the problems people are experiencing with PC VR. The âgoodâ news - simply exploring each level might improve performance.
@Happy_Squirrel Interesting because this problem is not new (first appeared in July 2021) :
But this issue is probably more prominent in VR. Glad theyâre tackling this.
Pretty sure Iâve experienced the same.
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers
Pretty disappointing, Iâm so clumsy with my right. Guess Iâll have to suck it up and just be a bad assassin.
Im playing vr right now, and man even with how buggy it is. Man is it fantastic fun, best part of year 2 so far
How VR is supposed to work with a quest 2 ? I canât get it working. Error : Hmd Not Found.
I use the link cable. Is Steam VR required ?
I do believe steamvr is needed.
You may also need to tell the Oculus software to allow unknown sources in the General Tab on the Oculus Settings menu. I had to do that to get Steam to recognize the headset.
Thank you @schatenjager, working fine now
I just tried it on PC.
âIf you donât have anything nice to say, donât say anything at allâ.
Iâll just say nothing to the VR mode of HITMAN III then âŚ
Glad, I was able to try it via GamePass though.
Has anyone tried to take a human shield yet? Or at least went through the âmotionsâ? I donât know how the game would interpret it.
I discovered that the game, mirror only the left eye⌠I never understand why developers donât give the option to render both eyesâŚ
When I aim it doesnât show the reticle of the gun.
Is anyone playing H3 PCVR using an Oculus Quest 2 wirelessly using the Air Link accessories/functionality? I havenât got a headset yet, but this is what Iâm considering buying so if anyone is using this setup Iâd be keen to hear how itâs working. Cheers!
Guards always shoot through NPCs no matter what. Should apply to vr as well
Might try later ill edit here when i know for sure
On a more positive note, I find hitman VR really fun. Punching npcs, throwing stuff, going on a shootout, snapping necks (hoo boy that crunch), and whatnot has a very satisfying feel to it, and playing through the trilogy in VR has been the most entertaining way to play it for me.
Now, itâs not perfect by any means, as melee for example can be a bit jank at times. When trying to melee with a knife, the knife always sticks to the enemy if you manage to stab them. Even though there seems to be a way to stealth kill someone, it isnât very intuitive in how to do so, as Iâve only managed to perform it once.
Aiming also seems a bit âoffâ, where while the sights seem zeroed, it feels like the bullets go somewhere else. A nice fix for this in my opinion would be to have an option to have the assist laser be on at all times, instead of only being active when half-holding the trigger. I could also just be bad, which is likely.
Not having the entire game available in VR feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, but at least that can be mitigated with the use of mods.
Surprisingly, despite my pc being just barely above the mininum requirements, it seems to run fairly well even on the âbestâ vr quality setting.
There is also a weird blur on the screen at all times, almost like a depth of field effect, but active everywhere. (Guess 47 is just near-sighted :P) I donât know is this an issue for every VR platform, but itâs there for me atleast on the Oculus Rift.
It works as good as HITMAN VR works.
Had no problems getting the game to run using my Quest 2.
